I woke up to my alarm at 6:15 AM. Today is gonna be a good day(: ITS FRIDAY, FRIDAY! GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY! I got up and got dressed. I wore a purple dress that goes down to my thighs and has a brown leather belt. I also wore really cute cowgirl boots and I put my hair in a high pony tail. I brushed my teeth, put on some concealer to cover up the bruises on my face. I’m not gonna let Amber bother me today. I’ve got friends who have my back. I grabbed my back pack, got on the bus and ignored all the rude names. After a while Amber and Megan realized that I was ignoring them and they came and sat behind me. They pulled my hair and were talking about me just loud enough that I could hear. I turned around to face them.
“Oh, hi girls! I didn’t realize that you were sitting behind me.” I said cheerily and proud. They were shocked. They reacted after a minute
“Oh that’s okay. We were just talking about how ugly and fat you are. Oh and how you don’t have any friends because everyone hates you.” Amber said smiling smugly. I smiled right back.
“Fun! Carry on.” I turned around and I didn’t hear them talking for the rest of the ride to school.
When we got to school the girls followed me to my locker and slammed it shut when I opened it. Austin and Alex saw this as they were on their way to my locker.
“Hey McKenna! Are these girls bothering you again?” Alex asked as he put his arm around me.
“They are actually.” I was blushing. He put his fricken arm around me! *le dying*
“Wow McKenna, now you need the bus driver AND these boys to fight your battles for you? That’s low.” She said in a snotty voice. Or should I say her normal voice(;
“Oh McKenna? She doesn’t need ANYONE to fight for her. You on the other hand are standing her with Megan as your back up, which is the same as someone else fighting for you. Maybe you should think about what you’re saying before you say it.” Ohhhh! AUSTIN JUST BURNED HER!
“Oh Austin, she can’t think about what she’s saying. She has the worst type of autism.” I said facing Austin and explaining.
“Do you need ice for that burn?!” Alex said to Amber before she could say anything. Amber huffed and walked away with Megan following her. Me, Austin and Alex all high fived each other SUPER hard and clutched out hands in pain. Then we all started laughing.
“Thanks guys.” I hugged them both
“Aye, that’s what friends are for!” Austin said. When I hugged him he held on for a long time. It would have been awkward if it wasn’t funny.
--------------------------------- skipping the rest of the school day
“Hey McKenna, can you ride the bus home with me?” Austin asked as we – Austin, Alex, and me – walked out of the school.
“It’s alright with me. Would it be alright with your Mom?” I asked as we walked to his and Alex’s bus
“Nah she won’t care. She likes you.” We all got on the bus. Austin and Alex sat together, while I sat behind them. A girl named Sam came up and asked if she could sit by me.
“Sure!” It’s weird that people are now talking to me.
“I saw you around school and thought you looked nice.” She said. “Then I noticed that I rode the same bus as you. This is my first day at this school.”
“Awe! Thanks! This isn’t my bus, I’m riding the bus home with my friend Austin.” I flicked Austin in the back of the head. “Just a tip: STAY AWAY FROM MEGAN AND AMBER.”
