Namjoon POV
I woke up in the hospital. A man wearing scrubs was checking my vitals. I looked up to get a better look at the man and was shocked to discover it was Ted.
"What's going on? Addy! How's Addy?!" I mumbled trying to sit up.
"Don't get up just yet. You need to take it easy."
"Addy?!" I asked.
"She's in a coma, but the doctor thinks she has a good chance of pulling through. Her ribs were cracked when we performed CPR on her, though, so she's going to be sore."
"Thank god. I don't know what--"
"Yeah," he interrupted. He seemed disappointed. "You were mumbling her name shortly before you came to, you know."
Ted looked down on me like a protective older brother sizing me up instead of a health care worker concerned about my welfare.
"What happened?" I asked.
"It looks like you were both poisoned. We won't know for sure until the tests come back, but we suspect you both received a heavy dose of blood pressure medication. You said you both drank the coffee from room service before this happened, right?"
"Yes. I just sipped one cup slowly, but Addy drank a lot--about three cups."
"Namjoon, can you think of anyone who might want to hurt you? A stalker?"
I reflected on sasaeng fans and my visit with Addy. My foggy brain slowly processed the facts. Putting them all together, I shook my head. "Ted, we have some obsessed fans, but I don't think I was the target," I said weakly. "Addy didn't know I was going to visit her this morning and it was her room service order. She just shared it with me because that's the kind of person she is."
Ted's eyes started to water and his face turned red as he clenched his fists.
"What is it, Ted?"
"Nothing," he lied. "Your friends have been waiting anxiously for news on you and Addy. I'll let the doctor know you're awake so she can check on you and give them an update. I'm not sure if you can have visitors yet. She'll let you know. For now, take it easy."
"Thank you, Ted."
He turned and left the room and I looked up at the ceiling, trying to focus and become more alert. It came to me right then and there. Daniel. Ted must have thought Daniel was behind the poisoning. But, that didn't make sense. He had initiated their breakup. Sure, he had changed his mind, but why would he want her dead?

Ted POV
I had heard him mumbling her name as I walked into his room to check on him. It made me wonder if their relationship was more than just professional. Was he her boyfriend? He was a lot younger than her, but who am I to judge? I married an older woman, after all.
When he woke, I interrogated Namjoon as if I were a cop. When his answers led to the likelihood that Addy was the real target, I became filled with rage. It couldn't be. He wouldn't. Would he? Danny? Poison Addy? But, who else could it be?
I snapped back to reality and let Namjoon know I would update his doctor. After I contacted the doctor, I immediately went to the waiting room where the band members had all gathered. Detectives were there talking to the men, trying to figure out who had done this to them. There was also an older Asian man with an interpreter ID around his neck.
The men understandably looked distraught, some of them crying. There was one young man whose eyes were puffy and swollen from heavy crying. One of the other men had his hand on the young man's back, rubbing it to comfort him. I had to let the detectives know that Addy was most likely the real target, and Danny most likely the culprit. One of the detectives talking to the one with the sleeve tattoo looked up at me, excused himself, and walked toward me.
