Jimin POV

There was something off about her. She was wearing more makeup than usual and she was constantly fidgeting. I think she dropped her dry erase marker at least three times. Don't get me wrong--I really enjoyed watching her bend over to pick up her marker. Part of me wanted her to keep dropping it, but I grew more concerned as the lesson progressed. The others noticed she was off as well. She kept zoning out and forgetting what she was saying.

"Seonsaengnim?" Hobi spoke up.

"Yes?"

"Are you alright? You don't seem to be yourself today."

She looked over to the side. "I'm sorry. I guess I'm not at my best today."

"Are you sick?" Taehyung asked. "If so, you should go take care of yourself. We can come back to this when you are feeling better."

I saw her eyes grow wet and she quickly turned her back on us, walked to the whiteboard, and started to erase it. "You know what? I think you are right, Taehyung. You guys deserve to have me at my best. Thank you for being so understanding. I should be better in a day or two. I will contact you when I am feeling better.

We all stood up to leave, but I stayed behind to talk with her alone. I was hoping she would open up to me if it was just the two of us. "Seonsaengnim?"

"Yes, Jimin?"

"Are you sure you are okay?"

She turned around and smiled, but I could still see the tears starting to form in her eyes. "Thank you for your concern, Jimin. I will be okay after I get some rest." She was twisting her wedding ring on her finger. I wondered if it meant something.

"Okay," I said, still concerned.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" She sniffed, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I compared our schedules. Unfortunately, it seems that we only have Friday nights in common for availability. Surely, you want to keep those open for yourself."

"Actually, Friday nights are fine with me, but I don't want to intrude on your time with your husband. He probably wouldn't appreciate me hanging out with the two of you on a Friday night."

"Oh, I didn't realize. I-I guess I never told you guys that my husband is still in the States. It wouldn't be an intrusion, Jimin. In fact, having some company would be appreciated. Sometimes I get a little lonely." She smiled softly at me and I got a sense of hope in her eyes.

"Okay, then." I nodded my head. "Let's make it a regular appointment. Once you are ready, that is. Take care of yourself first."

"Thank you for being so understanding. Here, this is my address and my cell number." She wrote her address and cell phone number on a piece of paper and handed it to me. "We should be able to start meeting at my place once I am feeling better. Say, six o'clock? And don't worry about dinner. I will make sure you are well fed."

I smiled, thanked her, bowed, then left the room. No wonder she was off! She must really be missing her husband. Thoughts kept racing through my mind. Still in the States? What was up with that? What could be so important that he would stay behind in the States? Shit! What husband in his right mind would let a gorgeous wife like that out of his sight for so long?

I found myself growing angry. He had better have had a good reason. I hated to see her so hurt. I was sure that's what it was. She wasn't sick. She was heartbroken.
