Jimin POV

When I got to the room they were keeping Addy in, I froze just outside the door. Part of me didn't want to walk through that door. I wanted it to be all one big nightmare. Addy was back at the hotel, preparing key phrases for us to learn for the interviews. But the reality was she was in there, alone, helpless. I needed to be there for her.

I took a deep breath and walked in. She had machines to her left and right. They had her intubated. Her eyes were closed, and her long hair was bunched up under her neck and shoulders. Addy had to be hating that. She hates the sensation of hair on the back of her neck when she sleeps. She's always lifting it up and to the side.

I leaned over and kissed her on the forehead, then gently, bit-by-bit, lifted her hair out from under her neck, placing half to each side. "There you go, my angel. Your hair is all better now."

I took a hold of her hand and kissed it. "Addy, if you can hear me, I need you to wake up, my angel. I miss you." I stared at her as tears started to roll down my cheeks. As I watched her, I noticed the beeping from the heart monitor start to speed up a little. "That's right, my angel. Wake up." After a few more seconds it slowed back down again.

I wiped the tears from my eyes, realizing it was probably just a fluke--she wasn't really responding to my voice. "I met your brother, Ted. He has taken it upon himself to personally take care of Namjoon. Whatever happened to you also affected Namjoon, but he's better now. He's awake and feeling better. Now it's your turn to wake up, Addy."

"Please, Addy," I begged. I stood there quietly crying, holding her limp hand, wondering if she even knew I was there. After a few minutes, I spoke to her again. "Well, I guess I better stop crying. You don't like it when I am sad. It hurts your heart, and I want your heart to be happy so you can wake up." I forced a smile.

"I have so many plans for us when you wake up. I've been thinking of ways we can sneak away to be together. The good news, though, is that the guys know about us now, my angel. Now, we just need to hide it from Hybe and the public. That's right--even Yoongi knows."

I started to delicately run my fingers through her tresses, remembering how much she loves having her hair played with. "Would you like me to braid your hair, Addy? I'm not very good, but practice makes perfect."

I gently set her hand down and lifted the left half of her hair to start braiding it. Slowly, I began to work it very loosely, so as not to accidentally pull on it. "Don't worry about Yoongi, by the way. As he put it, 'the heart wants what the heart wants, and it sounds like Addy's heart wants you.' He understands."

Arriving at the end of one braid, I realized I had nothing to hold it in place. I figured it didn't matter, as it wasn't a very good braid. The important thing was she was sensing me--hearing me. Or so I hoped. "There, Addy. I'm half done. Time for the other side." I said in English.

"I will try to talk mostly in English for you now, Addy. I want you to hear how well you have taught me."

I walked around to the other side of her hospital bed and carefully began to braid the other half of her hair. "Addy, I want you to show me Colorado. Denver is part of our tour. They scheduled us to be there for a longer time. We were told we need time to adjust to the elevation."

After reaching the end of the second braid, I took a look at my handiwork and laughed. "Oh, Addy. What a mess I made of your hair. But, you know what? I think I'll leave it. One look and people will say, 'Jimin was here.'"

As I laughed, her heart rate started to speed up again, but then slowed back down after a few seconds. Maybe she was trying to wake up, but something kept stopping her, holding her back.

"Would you like me to sing for you, Addy? I'm not warmed up, but that's okay. I'll sing for you."

After humming a little to warm up my vocal cords, I began to sing "Serendipity" to her. As I got to the chorus, her heart sped up again, but this time it continued to beat at a faster rate. I took a hold of her hand and continued. She could hear me. There was no denying it now. My angel could hear me.

When I finished the song, I kissed her hand. "That's it, Addy. Wake up now." My heart sank as her heart rate gradually slowed back down. "That's okay, Addy. I know you would wake up if you could." My eyes began to fill with tears again. I rested my forehead on her hand and wept.
