Jimin POV

Yoongi and I hugged for several seconds, then he released me and took a step back.

"Did you know? About the baby?"

"No," I shook my head, "I doubt Addy did, either. She told me she couldn't get pregnant. "

"So, Addy doesn't want more children?" Yoongi asked with concern.

"She loves children. She told me she is willing to raise children with me, but she is too old to get pregnant."

"Jimin-ah, I have a hard time thinking Addy would lie, but doesn't that sound a little suspicious? Too old? Didn't you explain to her that women in their mid-30s have babies all the time?" Yoongi inquired.

"I have to agree with Yoongi hyung on this one, Jimin-ah," Namjoon chimed in. "It sounds more to me like she doesn't really want more children."

Shaking my head, I looked down, smiled, and laughed lightly. Yoongi and Namjoon had grossly underestimated her age, just like I had.

"What?" Namjoon and Yoongi both questioned me in unison, matching the expressions of bewilderment on their faces.

"Of course I did, and you know what she told me?" I countered.

"What?" Namjoon and Yoongi repeated, completely unprepared for the bomb I was about to drop on them.

"She said she wasn't in her 30s. In fact, she's 47."

Stunned, Namjoon's eyes just about popped out of his head and Yoongi shook his head in disbelief.

"That's not funny, Jimin-ah," Yoongi scolded.

"I'm not kidding. She showed me her driver's license to prove it. Apparently, others have mistaken her for being younger than she is for years, but she didn't believe it was really true that she still looked young for her age until she discovered I had underestimated her age by about 10 years. As she put it, she thought people were, 'just blowing smoke up her ass.'" They both stared at me in disbelief. "I'm serious, guys. If you don't believe me, you can ask her brother the next time you see him."

"Shit!" Yoongi said, his jaw dropped. "If I find out you are teasing, Jimin-ah . . ."

Just then, Namjoon saw Ted approaching from the hallway. He walked into the room and greeted us. "Hi guys. I'm just here to check on your friend again now that I am done visiting Addy. Don't mind me."

"Yes, how is she? Is she awake yet?" Namjoon asked.

Ted looked down and shook his head. "No, but I'm hopeful."

Yoongi looked at me and looked back at Ted again. I could tell he was itching to ask Ted about Addy's age. Namjoon took the initiative.

"Hey, Ted?"

"Yes? Is everything okay?" he asked, stopping his work and giving Namjoon his full attention.

"Addy never really talks much about her family. Are there any other sisters or brothers? Have they been told about Addy?"

Yes. We have a sister, Jane, and her family. And, of course, our parents. They are all back in Colorado. I am keeping them updated. Our parents are getting on in years and our sister Jane is disabled, so I told them to stay there for now. I also called Aidan to make sure he knew what was going on.

"Who's the oldest? Of the three of you?"

"Jane's the oldest and Adelaide's the baby of the family," he responded while changing out Namjoon's IV bag. Yoongi started to nod and looked at me like I had played a trick on him. Ted then chuckled and smiled. "And she has always hated being called that considering she's only five minutes younger than me."

"Excuse me, what?!" Namjoon gawked, eyes wide.

"Oh, so she never told you about her twin? See how she is?!" he laughed.

"But Addy, she--" Yoongi started.

"Looks a lot younger? Don't worry guys. It's okay. It's a running gag in the family. It's both a blessing and a curse. She's in denial, but over the years it has become clear that she takes after our dad. He has always looked a lot younger than our mom, but he's 5 years older than her. When Addy and Daniel bought their first home as newlyweds, door-to-door salesmen would always ask her if her parents were home. She hated that."

Ted began to check Namjoon's vitals as Yoongi and Namjoon maintained stupefied expressions. He then looked up at Namjoon and asked, "So, how old did you all think my sister was? I bet you all thought she was in her mid-30s. I could see her passing for that. It helps that Addy has a youthful spirit. That's why I call her 'Lemonade'. You probably heard me call her that, Namjoon." Namjoon nodded, listening intently.

"You see, the word 'lemonade' sounds like Adelaide which is her name, and lemonade makes me think of summertime--of kids playing outside. It is sweet, refreshing, and sunshiny with just a hint of sour. That's our Addy. On the rare occasions that she gets angry, you get to see the sour. She calls me "Teddy Bear" because I give bear hugs and I would comfort her whenever she was sad. You see, when she was a kid she got teased a lot for her red hair."

"I must confess, I thought she was younger," Namjoon admitted, looking at me like we just finished playing a card game and I had won. A smile crept on his face. It was good to see his dimples again.

"So, how much longer do you think Namjoon needs to stay in the hospital?" I asked. "I know he'd like to visit Addy."

"He's continuing to improve. We'll keep him overnight for observation and if tests show he's still improving, the doctor will probably discharge him sometime tomorrow. The doctor is letting me be Namjoon's nurse even though technically it's my day off. He's currently my only patient, and as charge nurse, I get to hand-pick the night nurse for him. Trust me, your friend is in good hands."

Ted then looked directly at me as he hinted, "Addy could use some friends right now. I appreciate how much you all care about her." He excused himself, letting Namjoon know he would be back to check on him in a couple of hours.

"Jimin, go to her," Yoongi encouraged. "I'll let Tae and JK know Namjoon is ready to see them." We hugged and then I set off to see my angel.
