Summary: Sora, Yoruko, Nikei, and Mikado meet up for a double date at the festival.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The festival was in full swing. Everyone was having fun visiting the different booths. And it was also fun to see all the kimonos everyone was wearing. Everyone was wearing a different one.

And in the midst of all this were four students, all on the same double date.

Yoruko began twirling her hair with one hand while holding hands with her girlfriend. "There's so many people here." She commented. "I'm surprised nobody sells out of what they're selling."

Sora squeezed Yoruko's hand. "They probably have extras. Just in case."

"I'm glad they don't sell out." Mikado commented. "If they did, I wouldn't have been able to see my doll's face when I gave him that cupcake earlier."

"Shut your mouth!" Nikei said, face flushing. The group laughed.

Sora picked up a stray flower that was on the ground. "Aw, this is pretty." She commented. "But I know a place where it would be even prettier."

"Where?" Yoruko asked, adjusting her glasses when they started to slip down her nose a bit.

Quickly, Sora put the flower in Yoruko's hair, adjusting it so it wouldn't fall out. "Right there."

Yoruko's face turned red. "S-Sora!"

Sora giggled at her girlfriend's embarrassment, and Yoruko turned her head away, trying to will the blush away from her face.

"What a good idea! Maybe I should get a few flowers for my doll!" Mikado said, scanning the ground.

"In your dreams. I've still got a few petals on my kimono from that 'prank' you did earlier with Emma." Nikei countered, picking up a stray petal off his kimono to prove his point.

Mikado turned towards him, bringing his fan up to cover the bottom half of his face. "Don't be so mean, doll, this is supposed to be a date."

Nikei crossed his arms, a smirk on his face. "You say that like you weren't gonna drag me here if I said no."

"You're so meeeaan!" Mikado whimpered with an obviously fake sad expression on his face.

Sora elbowed Mikado, earning a small snicker from him which completely ruined his expression. "All right, we get it, you guys are boyfriends."

"Like you don't act the same with Yoruko!" Nikei protested.

Yoruko blushed even more at that, and Sora rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay, you got us there. We're probably a lot more loving than you two, I bet."

"Oho? Is that a challenge?" Mikado asked, his mask morphing into a competitive expression.

"Maybe it is." Sora responded cheekily.

Nikei and Yoruko watched their lovers playfully argue, already mentally preparing themselves for what would be coming next.

Mikado grabbed Nikei's arm and pulled him close to him, causing Nikei's face to flush red. "I'm sure me and my doll can beat you two easily."

"Are you sure about that?" Sora teased, doing the same to Yoruko. "We can beat you two any day."

"Is this a bet?"

"It's a bet."

"Oh, you're on."

"Guys, can you do this another time?! We're in public!" Yoruko complained, managing to get out of Sora's hold.

"Yeah, I didn't come here for a stupid contest about who's the better couple! You're going to mess up my kimono!" Nikei agreed, slipping out of Mikado's hold.

Mikado chuckled. "Fine, fine. Wouldn't want to mess up your beautiful kimono, after all."

"We'll do this when we get home then?" Sora asked Mikado.

"Definitely." The wizard agreed. "We're going to beat you, though. It's fate."

"Oh, I'm not so sure about that."

Sora and Mikado kept bickering with each other over who was the better couple, and Nikei and Yoruko rolled their eyes.

Suddenly, Nikei spotted something, and gestured to Yoruko about it. Yoruko's eyes widened in understanding, and the two shared a mischevious glance.

Sora and Mikado barely had a chance to react before they were covered in flower petals from a large basket.

They stumbled, startled, as their lovers started laughing.

"Hey! Why would you two do that? You're both so mean!" Mikado complained, trying to brush off the petals off his kimono.

Sora began working her hands through her hair to get out any stray petals. "Okay, you two. Well played."

"Ha! This is what happens when you two keep arguing instead of actually enjoying the festival!" Yoruko gloated.

Nike smirked. "Now you know my pain!"

"Fine, you guys win. We'll stop this argument... for now." Sora said, with a meaningful glance at Mikado, who nodded.

"You guys are totally gonna continue this stupid banter when we get back to the dorms, aren't you?" Nikei deadpanned.

"You know us so well." Mikado chuckled, putting an arm around Nikei. "Now, let's go enjoy the rest of the festival at your and Ms. Kabuya's request."

Nikei grumbled, but let himself be herded off towards more stalls.

Sora took Yoruko's hand. "Let's go join them."

Yoruko blushed again, and the two went to join the journalist and wizard in exploring the rest of the festival.
