Summary: Sometimes, pilots prefer to be on the ground, instead of in the sky.

Haruhiko felt like doing flips as soon as he saw the date.

He couldn't do literal flips just automatically of course, the only person he knew who could do that was Satsuki. Haru could kind of do flips on trampolines though, even if they were often a bit wonky.

He shined best on flips when in his plane. His plane was the best! He was the Ultimate Pilot, after all!

Although, flips on his plane might be cheating. Haru wasn't too sure about that.

Enough about flips though. Flips were irrelevant, especially with the date today!

It was his birthday! One of the best days of the year, it was basically his own holiday, since it was a day to celebrate him!

Teruya and Satsuki's birthdays had already passed, so Haru was the last of the Sunshine Trio to have their birthday, despite Haru's birthday being in June. A lot of people found it funny to joke that although Teruya was the smallest, he was the oldest, and vice versa for Haru. Satsuki was the middle child of them in both height and age.

Haru did find humor in the irony of those jokes too, and so did Satsuki and Teruya. Especially since Teruya and Haru always acted like their ages were reversed.

While thinking, Haru ran out of his dorm and nearly hit his head on the doorframe- he just barely remembered to duck -and quickly rushed to find Satsuki and Teruya. Since he had celebrated with them on their birthdays, they've got to celebrate with him on his birthday!

Although- where were they?

They weren't in their dorms, he didn't see them outside, and any classmates he asked claimed to have not seen them.

It was strange for them to be like this. Unless they were asleep, they were almost never quiet. And they certainly wouldn't hide from Haru, not unless they were all playing hide and seek. If anything, they'd come looking for him.

Haru finally stopped at the dorm cafeteria, tired from his run around the school. Despite being the strongest of the Sunshine Trio, Haru didn't like to run for long, and he figured that maybe a snack- or breakfast, he hadn't eaten yet- would help him.

But as soon as he went to open the double doors that led to the pantry/kitchen area, he heard muffled voices.

Muffled, and very familiar, voices.

"Shoot, is that him?!"

"I don't know, hide it! Quickly!"

"Got it, got it!"

Yep, Haru could recognize those voices a mile away.

He decided to wait outside the double doors for a moment longer, not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on in there, when the double doors pushed open on their own.

Satsuki and Teruya stood there, a bit out of breath from what they were doing, but smiling up at him nonetheless.

"Kobazing!" Satsuki said happily. "You're finally here! We've been waiting ages!"

"You were taking so long, we thought you were never going to show up!" Teruya said dramatically. "Centuries would have gone by before you came!"

"Okay, it wasn't that long." Haru said, putting one finger up to his face. "Also, you guys never said that you would be here."

Satsuki put on a fake exasperated face. "That doesn't matter, Satsuki thinks you should have known we were here!"

"I'm not a mind reader, I can't just know where you guys are!" Haru said. "Plus, mind readers are creepy!"
