I woke up by someone banging on my door like a maniac. Sighing I got out of the bed and headed towards the door to open it. Once I did I saw Aria standing in front of it. “Are you serious? Did you have to bang on the door like a freaking lunatic?” I asked as I struggled to keep my eyes open. Damn I am tired. “Oh shush it was not that bad. Besides it did the work and woke you up.” She answered. “Plus I think you should be thanking me because you would be late for the meeting if I havent done this” Aria said making me remember that we had a meeting. I would have totally missed it. “Oh god the meeting. I forgot. You are a lifesaver Aria.” I said making her chuckle.
“And you will repay me by going shopping with me. We are going to a club tonight for a business meeting and we cant look bad.” “Do I have to go with you guys?” I asked. “Yes. Since we want to keep it simple without much guards the 2 of us will accompany Kai and Federico. It will be less suspicious and we are there if something goes wrong.” She explained. “Okay.” I said nodding in understanding. “Cmon now lets go to the meeting.” Aria said. “Okay let me just get dressed.” I said as I went to my closet and pick out classic jeans with a black shirt and black sneakers.
We headed downstairs but we didn’t go to Federico’s office. We went through the door next to it and entered a large meeting room. I didn’t know this was here. Well of course when I moved here yesterday. The room was filled with men and Federico was of course at the head of the table. “Hello.” I greeted politely as I took a sit with Aria next to me. The men greeted me without looking at me so much. Looks like Federico threatened them by the looks on faces of some of the men. “We can start the meeting.” Federico said making me avert my gaze towards him. He looked undeniably handsome in his suit. Dominance raided of him and he held a cold but professional tone while speaking.
“I want you to meet miss Hailey Williams. She is a new addition to our team. Her position is an assassin and I want you all to treat her with respect since she is your new colleague.” He said making them all nod their heads in acknowledgment. “Now we can move on to the reports.” He said and some of the men got up and started saying their reports to Federico. After a while when they all finished he introduced the most important men to me. When they all left Aria, Kai, Federico and I went to his office so we can talk about tonights club meeting.
“We have a meeting with the Spanish mafia tonight. Its at our club so it’s a plus for us. Anyway you 2 need to be by our side all the time through the meeting unless we say otherwise I don’t trust them so much but they need to think I do and that’s why we are not taking any bodyguards to stand beside us. You will not raise suspicions.” Federico started explaining. “Of course you will be fully armed in case they try pulling something off.” Kai added and Aria and I nodded in understanding. “If that’s it can we go shopping?” Aria asked. “Of course you are free today. Meet us by the door at 8.” Federico said. “Sure thing fratello.” Aria said. “Okay.” I nodded my head. “Take 2 bodyguards with you.” Federico said and we both laughed.
We stopped laughing when we saw that both Kai and Federico are serious. “Aspettare. Sei serio?”(Wait. You are serious?) I asked raising my brow. “Si.” Federico answered. “Fratello sei molto stupido.” (Brother you are very stupid.) Aria said. “Perche abbiamo bisogno di guardie del corpo?” (Why do we need bodyguards?) She asked. I could already see Federico getting annoyed by us. “Perche ragazze vogliamo tenervi al sicuro.” (Because girls we want to keep you safe.) Kai said making us burst into laughter again. “You seriously think we need bodyguards. Siamo assassini.” (We are assassins.) I said making Federico sigh in frustration. “Fine go alone. Ragazze testarde.” (Stubborn girls.) He said and we smirked in victory. “Grazie mille fratello. Not like we would listen to you anyway.” (Thank you very much brother.) She said and we left the office and got out of the house.
