Chapter 31- The ball

A week later...

Haileys POV:

This week flew by and now we are all packed up in the plane and on our way to America. This week has been actually pretty boring. We were all anticipating the ball and I was specially getting ready so there are no slip ups and mistakes on my part. Federico of course kept bothering me trying to convince me to give up from the plan and just not do it but it didnt work. Besides that he also tried convincing me to make up with him but that will not be so fast even though he cracked me up a bit.

Back to the point we are now traveling sitting down silently everyone busy with their own things. Of course guess who I am sitting next to. Federico. You guessed it right. Of course he pushed everyone out of the way to get to me and be the first one to sit next to me. Lovely. Oh and I forgot to say I bought a magnificent dress for the ball. There is no way Leonid will resist me in that. Its a dark blue off the shoulder dress that is long till my feet and tight around my body.

My thoughts were interrupted by Federico putting his hand on my thigh casually still looking at his phone. That cocksucker. I looked at him and pushed his hand away from me. He got the hint and didnt try putting it back. Soon after that I felt kind of tired so I decided a nap would be good right now. A few seconds later, I fell asleep and had a refreshing power nap. But once I woke up, I was damn surprised by the position I was in.

My head was on his lap, and his hands were caressing my hair gently. As much as I hated to admit, I liked the position more than I should. So, just like any other dumb person, I decided to pretend I am sleeping so we can continue being in our position. The caressing of his hands stopped after a minute, and I felt him lean down. " I know you are not sleeping tesoro you can just tell me you like this." He whispered in my ear, kissing it slightly. "I am going to take her to the bedroom so she can rest more comfortably." He informed the rest, and I kept my eyes closed as he picked me up and carried me to the room attached to the plane.

He put me down on the bed, and I opened my eyes." Okay, I am awake. I will return back now." I said, getting up to leave but was pushed back by Federico. He climbed on the bed and got on top of me caging me so I couldn't move. "You know you are a terrible liar, little one." He said, inching closer to my lips. "That's not true." Was my only defense because I was smitten by his presence. "Mhm." He mumbled right before chrashing his lips on mine. And I returned the kiss just as passionately. After a minute, he parted our lips, continuing to leave a trail of fire on my neck. "Tell me you dont want this, and I will stop." He said, but I didn't want him to. "Dont stop." Was all he needed before ripping the shirt I was wearing. And right in that moment, someone knocked on the door. Fucking hell. "WHAT!?" Federico yelled out. "Sorry to interrupt whatever is happening but we are landing in 5 minutes so you better get back." Silvio informed us.

We left the room after composing ourselves meeting all of them with knowing looks on their faces. Dipshits. Soon after we landed. On the airport there were 2 cars waiting. One for them and one for us. Thats when we separated. They went to their house and we went to a hotel so we can lay low. The ball is tonight so we have the whole afternoon to prepare.

Later that day...

We spent the afternoon in the hotel slowly getting ready and before I knew it the time to go came. I got dressed and did my hair in curls and a bit of natural looking make up. Silvio and I got a limo for us and made our way to the place where the ball will be held. We entered the grand hall and made our way to our table. I immediately spotted Federico and the gang at another table close by ours. And surprise surprise we were at the main table with Leonid himself. Lovely. The bloody bastard of course had a disgusting smirk on his face making his way towards us and greeting Silvio first by shaking his hand and then turning to me.

"Miss Hailey. Its a pleasure to see you again."He said kissing my hand. Yikes. "The pleasure is all mine mister Leonid." I answered in a very sweet voice with an even sweeter smile. His eyes shined with hope. Poor guy. "Please take a seat." He said ushering us to our seats. And of course mine was next to him. In the corner of my eye I saw Federico clenching his glass so hard I thought it might break. "Your boyfriend over there is not happy to see you here." Leonid said. "He is not my boyfriend for over a year already." I answered. "Really? May I ask what happened любовь?" (love) He asked moving a strand of hair behind my ear. Ew. I smiled. "I think that story is for some more private atmosphere." I said. "I agree. We can always go to my room at this hotel and have a talk there." He whispered in my ear. "We cant just lieave like that." I answered in fake concern. "We can come back later after our... talk" He said smiling. "Well then I am in. But I do suggest we stay a little longer. Just so we dont be suspicious. You are the host after all." I said. "Right. I totally forgot when I saw you любовь." He answered smiling at me. Currently he looked like a lost puppy in love. Damn he must be really obsessed with me.

He kept his hand on my thigh while we kept the light chatter going. He didnt even want to speak to anyone else. But luckily for me soon he was called to teh stage to say a few words. "Thank you all fro coming to this ball. It is a great honor to be your host and to see new alliances make themselves tonight. I would also like to thank the special guest of the ball. The Shadow." He said raising his glass towards me. I smiled nodding. Fucking embarassing. Federico was by now red like a tomato in anger. It was a funny scene though.

The dinner went on and I ate minimally because I was sick sitting next to this man. He finally talked to Silvio leaving me time to rest from his obnoxious voice. But my happiness was short lived. "I think we were here enough already." He whispered in my ear. "I agree." I answered and he got up offering me his hand and I took it. The next minute we were in his car and after about 5 minutes later we were at the hotel. The whole ride he wouldnt stop stroking my thigh. Dirty pig.

As soon as we entered the room he didnt waste any time and started kissing me. Ewwwww. I returned the kiss so it doesnt get suspicious. " You have no idea how long I waited for this любовь." (love) He said and continued with his kisses down my neck then my chest and I realized this is my time to strike. "Wait! Why dont we have something to drink before doing it?" I proposed and he smiled nodding. I carefully tried to take the drug from my bra keyowrd tried. And thats when everything went downhill.

The things are spicing up.
