Chapter 30- The plan

Haileys POV:

We all gathered in Silvios' office for a meeting on what should we do next with our plan about defeating those damned Russians. And I must say we made quite a good plan.

"Okay, so I called you in because I have an idea about the strategy we can use to finally end them once and for all." Silvio announced before continuing. I, of course, was sitting next to Federico, who doesn't want to leave me alone. Fucking great. "The Russians are hosting a ball in a week and both of our mafias are invited to participate. That is when we strike. We all know that Leonid has a soft spot for our Hailey." He said and I saw Federico tense beside me. "Absolutely not. She will not be in harms way by any means." He started shaking his head. I rolled my eyes. "Will you shut tthe fuck up and let the man speak?" I asked raising a brow. "Hailey you will not-" Federico started but I cut him off. "Silvio please continue." Silvio cleared his throat awkwardly and continued. " So as I said Hailey will have the task to seduce Leonid and take him to a private room. There she will poison him via putting a substance in his drink. His men will be neutralised by our men, and we will be on our way to the room where Hailey is the moment we have the location. Hailey will wear a tracker, so we know exactly where she is at any time. The key is that they dont see we are together and dont get suspicious. That's about it."

With that, Silvio finished the speech, and by now, Federico was boiling with anger. I dont know what his problem is. " I will not participate in a plan where a million things can go wrong and Hailey can get hurt." He said and stormed out of the office. We all sat there in silence, confused. I sighed, rubbing my temple. He is so fucking dramatic I cant believe it. " I will go talk to him." I said before going after him.

He was in the backyard smoking a cigarette and looking delicious while doing so. " Why did you have to cause a scene?" I asked and he turned towards me. " Because I will not allow a chance for you to get hurt." He answered. " Federico, I dont know how many times I have to explain this to you, but you are nothing to me anymore. You can't make those decisions for me." I argued, making him step closer to me so our chest was touching. That position made me sweat a bit more than needed. " Oh yeah, and how do you explain the fact that you are currently sweating like a pig?" He asked. " The weather is hot." I stuttered out. "Mhm." He mumbled, leaning down to kiss me, but I pulled away. He can't distract me right now. "Federico, stop! I will be going, and I will execute the plan as it is just like any other mission I was on." I argued. "But this is not like any other mission. You will go directly against the boss, and I will not allow that." He bit back. "You can't allow me and not allow me anything. Do you understand me!?" I yelled out, hoping that he would get the message that I was pissed. "You are unbelievable." He said, shaking his head. "Times have changed loverboy keep up." I said as a final word and left back inside.

Federicos POV:

After everything Hailey said I was pissed as fuck but I knew she was right and that I can't hold her back. She is a skilled assassin and she was in way worse situations than this. Admiting to myself that I have no right controlling her I made my way back to Silvios office.

" Okay I agree with the plan." I said as I took my previous position next to Hailey. " Thats great. Now when we have the plan we just have to prepare and in a week it will be bye bye Russians." Silvio answered before dismissing us and I prayed to God that everything will be okay and that I will have my Hailey next to me alive and well.

The plan is in motion.
Federico does not approve of it.
