Chapter 15- The meeting

Haileys POV

His mansion was big but a little tacky if you ask me. Our mansion was better. Who are we kidding? Our everything is better. We entered his office, Federico first holding my hand. “Federico. I am glad you came.” Leonid said extending his hand towards Federico. He shook it firmly. Then Leonid looked at me with a smile on his face. A smile? The fuck? We are literally enemies. “Good to see you again  красивая.” He said taking my hand in his kissing the back of it. I felt Federico tense and knew this aint good at all. So I pulled my hand back only nodding with a cold face. After greeting Kai and Aria he led us out of the office and to a meeting room.

“Dove cazzo e Nicholas?” ( Where the fuck is Nicholas?) Federico asked Kai. “Non lo so.” (I don’t know.) He answered. At that moment we arrived to the meeting room. Leonid opened the doors and we all entered to a nice looking meeting room. In it were already some people. I am guessing his most trusted. “This is my second in command Maksim.” He introduced us and we all shook hands with him. At that moment Nicholas entered breathless. “Sorry I am late I had some problems.” He said and we all sat down finally.

“Это она?” (Is this her?) Maksim asked Leonid although we didn’t understand a thing. “Да, моя будущая королева.” (Da, moya budushchaya koroleva/ Yes, my future queen.) Leonid answered smiling. “Она красивая.” (Ona krasivaya/ She is beautiful) Maksim said. “Beh, questo  e noioso.” (Well this is boring.) I said sighing. “What did you say miss Hailey?” Maksim asked. “Well if you are going to be rude and talk in Russian when we don’t understand why wouldn’t we speak in Italian?” I said coldly. They both laughed. “Дерзкая девушка.” ( Derzkaya devushka/ Feisty girl) Maksim said. “Yes.” Leonid said. “Okay now we can start the meeting.” He added.

“We called you here today because we want to suggest a truce and a possible alliance. We think that it is the time to put an end to the fight that has been going on for a long time already and there is no winner.” Leonid said looking at Federico. “I must agree with what you are saying because this fight isn’t bringing us nowhere.” Federico answered in a serious voice. He was all bussiness mode right now. Not gonna lie he looks hot I could just eat him. “What do you guys think?” Leonid asked us. “I agree with Federicos opinion.” Kai said shortly. “I agree to.” Aria answered. “I don’t complain.” Nicholas chimed in. “I support whatever the don decides.” I said scanning Leonids face because I still couldn’t get myself to trust him. “That’s a true donna you have there.” Leonid said to Federico. “I wouldn’t choose anyone else.” He answered making my heart flutter.

“Now lets speak about about the alliance.” He added. “Yes. If the alliance would be formed we want access to 40% of your territories of our choosing and the Shadow to help us in missions. In return you would get 40% of our recourses.” He finished making us all look at him as if he grew 2 heads. “First of all do you really think it is fair to get close to half of our territories and my best assassin in exchange for close to half of your recourses? Do you not know how much people pay for access to my territories and how hard it was to even get them without police being on my tail?” Federico asked calmly. “It’s the only offer Mancini. No negotiation.” Leonid answered stubbornly. “Okay. Lets say I give you 40%. What makes you think I will let the Shadow be at your please when she has enough missions with us and what makes you think she will agree? Lets not forget she is my girlfriend to.” Federico shot back immediately. “What do you think about this Shadow?” Leonid asked.

“I do not agree to work for 2 mafias. I initially worked alone so even 1 mafia is enough. I am not looking for additional job.” I answered coldly. “Well I guess your proposal for alliance is dismissed. If that is it the meeting is done.” Federico said. “Okay. You will get the contract for the truce in a few days.” Leonid answered obviously unhappy about the failed alliance. “Glad doing bussiness with you Mancini.” He added getting up and shaking his hand. “Shadow.” He said and I just nodded in return. With that we left his mansion. “Well that was successful.” Nicholas said sarcastically. “At least it wasn’t an ambush.” Kai said shrugging. “Thankfully. But I don’t know what was he thinking when he suggested that.” I said. “I don’t know and sure as hell don’t want to find out. He overrated himself.” Federico answered putting a hand around my shoulder.
