Chapter 18- Meeting the parents

As soon as we got the call we were in our car speeding back to the hospital and soon enough we arrived. When we got in we went straight to Arias room knowing we will find Kai and Nicholas there for sure. And as we thought, once we entered we saw Kai sitting on the bed next to Aria, Nicholas standing  on her right and a fully awake Aria. “Bestieee!” She yelled opening her arms as soon as she saw me opening the door. “Oh my god Ari you scared the shit out of me.” I said breathing out an air of relief as I ran into her embrace and hugged her as tightly as I could. “Don’t ever do that shit again.” I said. “Okay… I cant breath now…” She answered struggling to take a breath. “Oh sorry.” I said pulling away. “I see that you are more happy to see my girlfriend than your own brother.” Federico whined from behind me. “Oh shut up fratello. Come here.” She said opening her arms once again. They shared a long hug before pulling away.

“But seriously don’t ever scare us like that again.” He said. “Oh what should I say sorry for getting shot it was not my intention?” She asked sarcastically making Nicholas and me laugh. “I see your sarcasm is untouched.” Federico answered rolling his eyes. “Well all 4 of you repeated the same sentence, it got boring.” She shrugged. “Mama and papa are coming here tomorrow.” Federico said changing the topic. “Why did you tell them? They will worry now.” Aria asked. “Well its not like he could hide it from your parents love.” Kai answered stroking her hair lovingly. Gosh they are so cute I swear. “Plus he would get one of aunt  Isabellas famous ass whoopings.” Nicholas added laughing making Federico glare at him to which he shut up. “Right I forgot to call them.” Federico said pulling his phone out. “Put them on speaker.” Aria said and he nodded. Soon their mothers voice could be heard.

“Figlio? Are there any updates?” She asked. “Yes. She is awake you can speak to her if you want.” He answered and she answered yes before Federico handed the phone to Aria so she can hear her better. “Mama?” Aria asked. “Aria bambina are you okay?” Their mother asked. “Yes mama everything is okay its nothing dangerous really.” Aria answered. “Niente di pericoloso? Aria saresti potuta morire!” (Nothing dangerous? Aria you could have died.) Before Aria could answer she continued. “Giuro su Dio se lo farai di nuovo ti urlero!” (I swear to God if you do that again I will whoop you.) She yelled making all of us laugh, except Aria. “Isabella non urlarle contro.” (Isabella do not yell at her.) A male voice could be heard. I am guessing their father. “Aria sweetie are you alright?” He asked. “Yes I am papa.” She answered. “Good. We will be there in the morning. Call us if something changes.” He said. “I will papa.  Bye.” Aria bid him goodbye before they finished the call.

“Kai, baby, you look like shit.” She said out of the blue but he did truly look like he hasn’t slept for days. The stress took a toll on him. “Wow thank you for the compliment my love.” Kai said sarcastically. “But seriously you do. Why don’t you go and have a rest? I am awake and well now. You have nothing to worry about.” Aria answered. “I am not leaving your side. No way.” But of course Kai kept being stubborn even though we did have a deal that he and Nicholas will leave to have rest once Aria is awake and we will stay here. “Well bro we made a deal that we will take turns with Federico and Hails. She will not be alone.” Nicholas said and we all nodded. Kai sighed and nodded. “Fine. But call me if you need anything and I mean anything. Even if you are bored. Call me.” He said and kissed Arias forehead. “Will do sweetheart.” Aria said smiling. I cant get over how cute they are together. “Oh she wont be bored with me that’s for sure.” I said. “Don’t you mean us?” Federico asked raising an eyebrow. “Weeeeeell noooo. You are not that fun amore.” I answered. “You were not saying that a few hours ago.” He said with a smirk and my eyes widened.
