Chapter 13- The ball

The rest of the day went uneventful we went to some meetings and passed out in the night out of tiredness. Overall it was normal. Today however is the day of the ball. This is the first time I will be going as a date and not as an assassin ordered to kill someone at the event. Lets just hope  everything goes smoothly. The ball is at 8 and now is 6 which means that Aria and I need to start getting ready so we shine tonight. I took a shower and went into mine and Federico’s room to see Aria sitting on the bed looking at her phone.

“Are you finally done showering hoe?” She asked making me roll my eyes. “Bitch it wasn’t even that long.” I said and she laughed. “Yeah right.” “Whatever lets start getting ready.” I said. “Okay. The hairstylists and makeup artists are here let me just call them in the room.” She said and went to get them. A few minutes later 2 girls and 2 guys entered. They started on our hairs and makeup. I had light sparkly eyeshadow with red lipstick and curled hair while Aria had all nude makeup with half up half down hair.

Once we got dressed we were both unrecognizable. She shone in her red dress and I looked hot as hell in my black one. We both wore black heels and went downstairs where Kai and Federico were waiting for us by the door. They were talking about something but snapped their heads towards us when they heard us coming down. Federico looked like a god and I barely stopped the drools from coming out. He wore a classic black combination matching mine making him look 10 times bette.

Kai and I were talking about some bussiness shit when we heard heels clicking against the floor. We both looked up and I was dumbstruck. Hailey looked like a goddess and I couldn’t stop myself from scanning her body head to toe. Her dress hugged her perfectly, make up made her even more beautiful than she is naturally if  that is even possible and curls cascaded down her shoulders perfectly. Oh my god how will I be able to keep myself composed next to her and not rip that dress off of her. The girls came to us but my eyes were only on Hailey not noticing my sister leaving that to her husband.

“You look… perfect.” I said taking a moment to find the words. She smiled widely making my heart melt into a puddle. “And you look extremely gorgeous and handsome.” She returned the compliment. I chuckled and thanked her. “Shall we guys?” Aria asked. “Lets go.” I said taking Haileys hand in mine and heading towards a limousine waiting in the front. We all entered and started the way towards the  ball. All the way I couldn’t keep my eyes nor my hands from Hailey. I always had my hand on  her thigh or on top of her hand and I  couldn’t wait for us to come back home. After some time we arrived to the place of the ball.

It was a beautiful mansion, not as beautiful as ours but it was still nice. The host of this years mafia ball is American mafia. Their leader Matthew is one of my allies and close friends so I know that I don’t have to worry about Russian skanks attacking us at the ball that is hosted by him. We all got out of the limo one by one. Kai with Aria, Nicholas with his date and I opened the door for Hailey and offered her my hand which she took and sent me a small smile which melted me. She is turning me into a puppy. But of course just for her. Others know me as an emotionless, ruthless don of the Italian mafia. We all stood in the line waiting for the man to announce us so we can get in.

“ Don Federico Mancini and his date Hailey Williams also known as the Shadow.” He said and the room went quiet at the mention of our names combined. We are probably the 2 most deadly people on the earth so their reactions are expected. As we made our way further into the room whispers were heard. Some in awe, some in jealousy and  some in lust towards my girl. I stayed calm even though I was able to end them in that second. Fucking dirty  dogs. We ignored them both with stone cold faces walking hand in hand  through the crowd and towards our table. Once we got to our seats I pulled the chair for Hailey and then sat next to her. A few seconds later the rest of the fam came and took their seats. The chatter continued and we saw Matthew approaching us.
