Chapter 20- Sorting things out

Hailey's POV

As we headed to the office yelling could be heard, obviously Arias yelling. Kai was also coming right behind us probably concerned that his wife that have just been shot is yelling at her own brother will collapse from exhaustion at any moment. The doors of the office was open so we just came straight in.

"You have no right to get mad at her just because she didn't want to worry you! Yes we hid it from you we are guilty but after everything you have said to her and she forgave you, you are in no position to stay mad at her!" Aria yelled at a very angry Federico. "I get it Aria but she didn't trust me enough to tell me what is going on! Relationship is all about trust!" Federico yelled back. "You talk about trust? What did you do when you found out she was Antony's wife!? You called her a whore , a disgusting whore you couldn't look at!" She yelled and I flinched at the memory replaying in my mind.

"I know but you have to understand that I need time it doesn't mean I love her any less!" Federico returned and my heart fluttered at the words even though we were in the middle of an argument. "You had your time now go and fix things!" Aria answered. They still hadn't noticed us standing there but oh well. "I can't Aria I need more time" Federico yelled. "Okay that's it!" Aria said and slapped him the force of the slap making his head turn to the side.

"Aria you will rip the goddamn stitches! Calm down!" Now was Kai's turn to yell. He came over to Aria and pulled her back. "Not until this asshole comes to his senses." She answered. "Aria Mancini get your but back in your bed right this second!" Isabella ordered and Aria looked at her wide eyed. "You know what I am suddenly very tired. Bye." She said and she and Kai left the office. "Now. Aria was right. You 2 need to sort things out." Isabella said. "And we are leaving you to it." Aldo said and they left the office closing the door behind them.

I stood there awkwardly not being able to look at Federico so I kept my gaze on the floor. From the corner of my eye I saw him leaning against the desk none of us speaking. I didn't even know what to say to him that I havent already and the situation was killing me. After a very long minute of silence I dared to rip my gaze from the floor and look at him only to see that he was already looking at me. I bit my lip forming the right words in my head and as I was about to say them he surprised me and opened his arms for me to come to him ad I didn't waste a second running into them and wrapping my own around him.

He wrapped his arms around me hugging me tightly as I placed my head into the crook of his neck inhaling his scent. We didn't say a word and no words were needed but after a while of us just standing there I decided to speak up anyway. "I am so sorry that I betrayed you it wasn't my intention I swear." I said. "Its okay. Aria was right. Yes I was upset but you did what you thought was the best. But you have to promise me that you will tell me everything that happens to you because maybe I can help you better than you do it yourself." He said looking at me lovingly and I knew we were destined for each other because no matter what we will always forgive each other. "Okay I promise." I said smiling and he leaned down to kiss my head letting his lips linger there for a few seconds more. And of course to ruin the moment my stomach had to give away that it needed food.

"Is my love hungry?" Federico asked as though he was talking to a baby while pinching my cheek. I smacked his hand away while glaring at him playfully. "Yes I am and you have to feed me unless you want your girlfriend to die of hunger." I said and he released me from him arms. "We don't want that dont we?" He asked taking my hand in his and leading me out of the office and towards the kitchen. When we entered the whole fam besides Aria was there even Nicholas who was peacefully munching on his sandwich unaware of the drama that took place while he was enjoying his time with his girlfriend.

"Are you good now?" Kai asked and we nodded. "Great at least Aria wont have to worry now anymore." He said. "At least she wont take my eyes out now." Federico said looking truly relived and I chuckled. "Aww. Are you afraid of your baby sister?" I asked in a baby voice and he playfully glared at me. "No." He said scoffing. "Yeah right." I answered. "Wait pause a second." Nicholas said and we both looked at him. "What the hell happened I was only out for a few hours?" He asked. "Can I tell him? Can I? Can I please?" Kai asked like a little kid. "Sure." I said shrugging. "So. It turns out that when we were at the meeting..." Kai started explaining telling him the whole story from the beginning. "So they made up only after Aria used force." He finished talking and Nicholas just looked at him soaking in the new information.

"Well damn. I always miss the drama it's not fair." Nicholas said pouting like a kid. "Well that's just to bad." I said in a mocking tone and he stuck his tongue out to me. "Children. Behave." Isabella said. "But anyway I am happy you two made up." She added. "Its not like you had a choice but oh well." She said and we all laughed. "Lets go tell Aria then. We don't want her to kick your ass as soon as she sees you." I joked and Federico nudged me playfully before taking my hand and leading me upstairs towards Arias and Kais bedroom. The door were open so we just got in and saw Aria on her bed watching the TV.

"If you didn't forgive her I suggest you leave the room while you can before I get up and come for you." She warned. "Don't worry we are good." Federico said and she breathed a sigh of relief before sitting up straight in her bed so she can look at us. "Thank god you did. I thought I had to throw hands." She said and we chuckled. "Don't worry Ari you won't have to use your oh so awesome powers to whoop his ass." I said over dramatically. "Hey I was the best assassin before you came. It's not my fault that this cunt decided to hire THE Shadow." She answered and I laughed. " I know Aria I am just messing with you." I said. "Oh I know. I am messing with you to. I am still the best here." She said flipping her hair behind her shoulder. " Just kidding. We are almost the same." She added and I just laughed shaking my head.

"Kids!" Isabella yelled as she came into the room. "Si mama?" Federico and Aria asked. "I want to organize a small family dinner. Nicholas will bring Aurora to." She said and at that moment Nicholas entered the room. "I will?" He asked. "Yes you will boy and don't you dare defy me." Isabella threatened with a finger pointing to him. "Yes mam I will be on my way to call my lovely girlfriend." Nicholas said before exiting the room. "The dinner is starting in 2 hours I expect you to be punctual." She said sternly and we all just nodded afraid of her. "Will do mom." Aria said and after that Isabella left the room. "Now you 2. Shoo out of my room I need my beauty nap." She added literally kicking us out of the room. We obliged and went out leaving her to rest.

"What are we going to do with Leonid?" I asked as we entered our room. "We are going to catch the bastard and watch the life drain from him as he dies painfully slow in our cellar." He explained sitting down on the bed. "Well that was very descriptive." I commented as I approached him. "Oh come on. Like you don't like doing the exact thing." He said pulling me down onto his lap. "Well you aint wrong about that." I shrugged and he chuckled kissing my shoulder. I yawned placing my head on top of his. "Tired?" He asked. "Very." I answered. "Lets take a nap then." He said as he pulled both of us down on the bed so we were laying down snuggling comfortably. A few seconds later I was out like a light feeling safe and sound in the arms of the love of my life.

What will happen with Leonid?
Will they even catch him?
Will Aria heal well?
