Did you read the top pic? I can just say that this statement is true.

I don't know who needs to hear this but if there's one thing I wish I learned from a younger age then it's:

Practice.

Growing up from a loving and caring family, I thought I should be the perfect role child since I believed my parents deserved it.

I still do, no doubt.

With this mindset I tried to be perfect in almost everything.

Reality struck back and I fell 6 feet under my own expectations.

I wasn't the stereotyped smart asian mathematician that every parent wished for *sniff* ಥ ͜ʖಥ or the medal honored valedictorian kid. *cough*

(Not to brag but I did gather medals from SPORTS not by SMARTS (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ) *whispers* still a DisGraCE-)

LMAOOO 😂

THE POINT IS-

You can not simply be perfect in anything because there is no such thing.

Even as I grew older I had to accept that fact.

No matter how hard you practice to be perfect, there will come a time where you fall back down due to various of reasons.
Then you simply give up.

One day you'll get what I mean, if not now.

It's a hard pill to swallow down.

I have a lot of ups and downs. I can not really complain about life.

So what exactly should we do when not to be perfect?

We have to practice the right way. You see a lot of people, including me, never learned to practice the right way.

Therefore I did some research about it and I do hope it work for you too.

1. Don't rush! 🏃‍♂️

Practice in a more slowed pace rather than jumping straight into competition modus. It is not about winning in an instant, it is about learning how to stay focused by doing frequent repetitions correctly.

2. Spilt the task😌

It's better to focus on one thing until performed correctly instead of looking at a whole chunk of tasks ahead of you, losing motivation to go on. Once you performed the little task correctly, move o to the next one.

3. Visualize 👀

Every successful person out there started of with dreaming hard and aimed for that goal. The key is to find what gets you going and to do that, try imagining yourself already achieving that task.

How does it feel? Good right?

Now on your eyes again to reality. You're still steps away from it but it doesn't mean it won't be yours.

You saw the good in it and it is what you want. There's absolutely no excuse to back down now, so GET UP AND WORK FOR IT!

4. Pray 🙏

This is not to fool around, I mean it. I do not intend to 'manilulate' non-believers into my beliefs but I do want to spread something for you to know.

As a Christian, I read in the Bible, that God has plans for us not to harm but to nurture us.
- Jeremiah 29:11

We have everything set and it will be claimed by us if we first seek God.
- Matthew 6:33

So with every achievement you made, remember that it comes from Him and only through Him.

To end this chapter I'm going to add a short TED-Talk that pretty much sums this up.
