A few years later (Ino is 15, (Y/N) is 17)

"Father, you've completely lost it, haven't you?" Ino glared, stepping onto his father's open wound.

"Have you forgotten that I have managed everything for you these past few years? While you lay depressed and fill yourself with toxic fluids?" Ino was angered with his father's obliviousness and fake authority against him. His father was clearly weak, yet still convinced himself that he held power in the family.

"I-Ino, let go of him please.." Manzo whimpered, as he watched the scene. Although Manzo was older and taller than Ino, he was frail and did not have much confidence in himself. Especially against Ino.

Ino had a much stronger build than his and had an intimidating aura that caused Manzo to shake in fear. Plus, Ino was never a normal child. Manzo knew that all to well.

"Just get him out of my sight." The youngest grumbled, throwing a sharp glare at Manzo before departing the dark office.

Manzo let out a deep relieved sigh as Ino left the room, he timidly helped his father up, treating to his wound that Ino inflicted upon him.

When did he become such a monster?

(Y/N)'s POV (Third Person)

"Good afternoon, Mr. (Y/N). My name's Kazu, I will be interviewing you today. Thank you for being on time." A man greeted, carrying a large suitcase, he set it down on the desk as he sat upon his chair.

"Good afternoon, sir." (Y/N) replied, bowing his head down. "Let's get straight to the interview, shall we?" The man smiled, crossing his legs.

(Y/N) nodded, a look of excitement crossed his face. He's been waiting for this day for who knows how long.

He tried not to smile too much as the interviewer scanned through his resume and portfolio.

"Hmm... you're quite young. Have you graduated high school yet?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows. He's never had someone so young apply to be in the police force, specifically a detective. It was a difficult job.

"I have, a few months ago." (Y/n) sternly answered. He knew he may not get the job, due to him being too young, but he was hoping they could make an exception.

Kazu hummed, flipping through papers once again. "You do know that you have to be 20 to apply, correct?" The (h/c) haired male nodded his head, "I'm aware, but I was wondering if I could start earlier..." (y/n) answered.

"I'm sorry, but those are the regulation of this organization. You're still not an adult yet." Kazu replied, feeling bad for the younger as his head drooped down. Kazu sighed, " I could hire you to be an assistant of the head of the detective department. It would mainly be files and papers, but I'm sure he could teach you here and there."

(y/n)'s eyes lit up, "is that allowed?" Kazu chuckled, "Yeah, I mean you'd be more of an organizer than assisting in detective works. Plus, Akifumi has been looking for an assistant for quite awhile, he's busy all the time and doesn't have time to sit down and relax."

"Thank you so much! When can I start working?" (y/n) exclaimed, almost shooting up from his seat. He's been working so hard for this, even if he couldn't get the job he wanted, it was close enough. Especially since he'd be assisting the head of the detective department.

"Of course, you'd have to meet him first. Akifumi is quite picky when it comes to his subordinates, but I have a feeling he'll like you!" Kazu smiled genuinely. (Y/n) smiled in appreciation.

"Then, when should I meet him?" (y/n) questioned, he was practically jumping in his seat, he was so excited to tell his parents that he got the job, or at least got to be the assistant of the popular Akifumi.

He had studied forensic science, human relations, and judicial function all throughout high school. He had never planned to go to college, but he didn't need to, he was at the top of his league. (Y/n) had always been smart for his age, he tended to think in a analytical sense and was always aware of his surroundings. Many of his peers grouped around him because the (h/c)-haired male was kind and knew his own boundaries. He never made anyone upset, and if he did he always made sure to explain with reason.

Kazu checked his calendar, and replied "He's actually free tomorrow at around 12-2 PM, are you able to meet during that time?"

"Yes, I am!" (y/n) gave a slight nod towards the other. "Great! Then you can meet him at the cafe around the corner, I hope you like animals." Kazu smiled before gathering (y/n)'s files and handing it the the male.

"Thank you very much, sir. I don't think you understand how grateful I am for this opportunity." (y/n) declared, pushing the chair back as he stood up and bowed in a perfect 90 degree angle.

Kazu chuckled, "It's no problem."

(y/n) straightened his posture, giving a small smile before saying a goodbye and leaving the office. He let out a sigh due to nervousness, he hadn't noticed how sweaty his palms were. He took his phone out of his pocket, and left the building.

Upon leaving the building he made sure to check out the café Kazu was talking about, making sure he knew where to head tomorrow. (Y/n) was strict when it came to being on time, he always had to make a good impression. That's just how he was, well sometimes..

Talking about making it on time, he needed to get home and cook dinner for his family, and tell them about the news.

He made his way to the subways, unlikely for him it was rush hour. People were getting off from work, meaning the train was gonna be packed. He always dreaded being in a packed vehicle and debated if he should just take a taxi home.

After seeing more people rush in, he decided to take a taxi home. He walked up the stairs, people started to push past him, but he kept pushing forward.

Someone managed to push him hard enough to where he almost lost balance, but he regained his stability as he held onto the rail. 'Man, people are so rough..'

(y/n) managed to get past the crowd , and immediately took a deep breath, he then put his hands in his pocket to get his phone out, only to find a piece of paper. Maybe he left it in here from the previous times he wore this jacket? He tended to that often, more then he would admit.

He unwrapped the crumpled paper, only to see some sort of symbol? He had swore he saw it before, but he wasn't completely sure.

OH! His dad's office, but he wasn't sure why the crumpled up paper was in his pocket, he was pretty sure he never drew the symbol before. Perhaps he'll ask his dad about it later tonight, he once again stuffed it in his pocket and searched for his phone in his other pocket.

He checked the time and realized that he might not get home in time, after all the building was pretty far from his house, since he lived in a rural area. Taking a taxi would take longer, but he had no other choice.

He contacted his mother, notifying that he would be late and couldn't make a meal for tonight. His mother immediately responded back with a simple response, before adding that she would cook dinner instead.

After making sure his mother knew his whereabouts, he spot a green license plate in the corner of his eye and went over to the car.

He bent down, which alerted the taxi driver to turn his head towards his (e/c) eyes.

"Hello, are you able to bring me to this location?" (Y/n) questioned, showing the area the driver could drop him off.

"Yes, sir." The old man smiled as he hinted for (y/n) to get inside.

"Thank you very much." (Y/n) grinned, jumping inside the back of the car.

The engine turned on, and the driver veered out of the parking spot. (Y/n) stared out of the window, wanting to get home as soon as possible.
