Chapter Twelve

My trip with Roger took longer than expected. Let's just say we got the information we needed from Hector Garcia. I know Elliot worries about me while I'm gone, but I'm fine. The car is something I have wanted to get her for a while now. She truly deserves the world and more.

As we walked into the restaurant, she attaches herself to my side. I am not complaining though. When I'm away, I miss her and the kids just as much. I'm just pissed at myself for not being here this morning for Valentine's Day.

We reach the table, and I notice each couple is sitting across from their significant other. It'll definitely make this game I'm playing with El a lot more interesting being able to watch her squirm right in front of me. I pull the chair out for her and kiss her cheek before taking my seat in front of her, next to Roger. I have no idea what everyone is talking about, but I turn my attention to the menu because I'm starving.

I feel Elliot's smooth leg rub against mine under the table. I look up and watch as she takes a sip of her wine, and just as the liquid reaches her lips, I turn the knob in my pocket. She nearly chokes on the wine, and everyone asks if she's okay. She nods her head to them, trying to swallow her drink completely. The group goes back to their discussion as she grips the tablecloth. She raises an eyebrow at me. "What the fuck?" she mouths. I smirk and turn the knob down. Her grip releases and she goes back to looking at the menu and conversing with the rest. If she didn't know already, she knows now that the panties I gave her as a gift have a vibrator in them. She doesn't know the bra does as well, right on the nipple area.

"Aww, look how cute," Jayda says as she shows us a picture of all our kids at our parents' beach house. It's Addy, Camden, Oliver, Gina, Mia, and Layla, all wearing Valentine pj's. My parents love celebrating holidays with them. The table finally received our food as we all talked about work and kids, except for Roger and I, our job is never table talk.

"No, we do not want any more," I hear Jessie say as everyone laughs. "What about you Tracy? Any more kids for you and Roger?"

She and Roger both look at each other and smile. "Yeah, we're actually trying right now."

"Ooooooo," the whole table says. Jayda starts clicking on her glass of wine with a knife and the others join her and cheer.

"Okay, okay! Settle down. Elli and Alex are trying too. Tell them El", Tracy says.

El shyly smiles and glances my way. I give her a wink, and just as she's about to answer her friend, I turn the knob in my pocket. Her eyes grow big, and nothing comes out of her mouth. She kicks me under the table, so I take that as my cue to turn the knob up. Her grip on the fork tightens, and a nod and hum are the only response she can get out.

"You good El?" Melinda asks. I hold my laughter and turn the knob back down to a barrable speed. I watch as she relaxes a little.

"Ah yeah, I'm good. And yes, we are trying for another baby," she finally gets out. Her answer suffices for them, and everyone goes back to their chatter.

As the diner goes on, Elliot doesn't say much more to the group or to me. I think she might be upset that I went so far with the panties. So, I decide not to mess with her for the rest of the time in the restaurant. We all say our goodbyes, and now El and I are left waiting for the Valet. The dark-tinted Mercedes Benz pulls up, and as the guy walks towards me with the keys, Elliot steps in front of me. She snatches the keys and gets into the driver's side.

I follow after her and get into the passenger side, pulling my seat all the way back and getting comfortable for the drive. As she drifts through the streets, not one word is heard out of her. We make it onto our road, and she pulls into our driveway. As she parks the car, she turns the lights off but keeps the engine running. I give her a few minutes as she admires the inside of her new whip.
