"Bellamy, what's the plan?" She walks in front of him.

"We have two choices. Run and get picked off out in the open, or stand and fight back." He explains and steadies me. Finn runs in the dropship.

"Clarke. If we are still here when Tristan gets here..." He trials off.

"Lincoln said 'scouts'. More than one. He said, 'get home before the scouts arrive'. Finn, they're already here. Looks like you've got your fight." She makes her choice. Bellamy wraps an arm around me and walks outside the dropship.

"This is what we've been preparing for. Kill them before they kill us. Gunners, to your posts. Use the tunnels to get in and out. From now on, the gate stays closed." He bellows through the whole camp. Octavia walks past us. I grab her arm.

"Whoa. Whoa. You aren't a gunner." Bellamy says and I let go of her arm.

"You're right. Like you said, I'm a grounder." She continues to walk past us.

"All right! Let's get to those foxholes!" Everyone starts moving. Clarke comes over to us.

"So. How the are we doing this?" She asks and stops in front of Bellamy and me.

"We've got 25 rifles with 20 rounds each, give or take. Roughly 500 rounds of ammo. While you two were gone, we made some improvements. Thanks to Raven, the gully is mined." Bellamy says. Finn and Raven walked over shortly after Clarke did.

"Partially mined. Thanks to Murphy." Raven adds.

"Still, it's the main route in. If the grounders use it, we'll know. She also built grenades." He says, trying to convince us that we'll be okay.

"It's not many." Clarke says.

"Again, thank you, Murphy." Raven says sarcastically.

"We'll make them count. If the grounders make it through the front gate, guns and grenades should force them back." Bellamy still has his arm around my waist, keeping me steady on my feet.

"And then?" Clarke asks.

"Then we close the door and pray." Raven answers.

"And pray what? That the ship keeps them out? Because it won't." Clarke is so pessimistic. Maybe i'm a little pessimistic too, but she's not believing that anything we do will keep us safe.

"Then let's not let them get through the gate." Bellamy picks up his walkie-talkie and holds it to his lips. "All foxholes, listen up. Keep your eyes and ears open. Inflict casualties, as many as possible. You can hold them off long enough to make them turn back. That's the plan."

"That's always your plan. Just like the bomb on the bridge." Finn says.

"The bomb worked didn't it?" I ask.

"Damn right. You got a better idea, spacewalker?" Bellamy asks and re-adjusts his grip on me.

"It can't be that simple. You said there's fuel in those rockets, right? Enough to build 100 bombs." Clarke looks at Raven.

"I also said we've got no gunpowder left." Raven adds, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I don't want to build a bomb. I want to blast off." Clarke says.

"Draw them in close. Fire the rockets. A ring of fire." Raven cooks up a plan.

"Barbecued grounders. I like it." A smirk slides on Bellamy's face.

"Will it work?" Finn asks Raven.

"You give me enough time, I'll cook them real good." Raven smirks. Everyone else nods.

Someone yells over the radio. "I can see them! They're moving! I count two, 3, no, wait, there's more. I don't know, man. There's too many of them." I look over at Bellamy.

"Go inside the dropship." Bellamy orders me.

"Let me help." I stay right in my spot.

"No. It's not safe. Go inside." He is going to fight me on this.

"No. If it's not safe then none of us should be out here. I'm helping. End of discussion." I pick my gun up and start moving.

Jasper finally got the dropship ready to blast. But the Grounders got in through the gates. I'm running toward the dropship to get inside.

"Bellamy! Bell, come on!" I yell. He's being attacked.

"He's never going to make it! Bellamy run!" Clarke yells. Finn and I stand up at the same time. We look at each other. I run over to Bellamy. I attempt to grab the spear from the Grounder's hand. He pushes me on the ground and Finn tries to grab it. The Grounder takes his eyes off of Bellamy and turns to hit Finn. I get in the way and end up being hit in the head. I nearly fall down but balance myself. I grab the spear from the Grounder's hand and stab him in the back with it.

"Finn! Briar! Bellamy! Run! Come on!" I hear Clarke yelling. Seconds later, I feel a sharp sensation through my shoulder. I yell in pain. I turn and see the dropship door closing. I scramble to push Bellamy away from the camp. I fall over and Bellamy starts pulling me. The dropship door is nearly closed. I feel my eyes becoming heavy.

"Bell. Leave me." He continues to pull me. We duck into a foxhole just as the door closes. Fire emerges and nearly singes my hair before Bellamy pulls me down further.

"You should have left me. I'm going to die." I say breathlessly. He grabs my face.

"Don't talk like that. You're going to make it. I promise." He says and lays beside me.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep." I touch his face. I pull him closer and kiss him. "This is not what I expected to happen when we came to the ground."

"Me either." He agrees and kisses me again. I let my eyes slowly shut.

"I love you forever." I whisper to him. I'm so exhausted, so I let my eyelids droop completely shut.

Bellamy's POV

"Briar? Briar! Bri." I get choked up. I clear my throat. "Briar! Stay with me please. Please don't die. I need you. Please." Her eyes slowly open then close again. I rip my shirt and tie it around her shoulder tightly. My eyes start welling with tears and a few drip down on her shirt. I kiss her forehead.
"I'm not letting you die. I promise."

OML it's the end! There will be a second book, but I'm not sure if it'll have the same name, or if it'll be smth different. Any suggestions?

Also, thanks for reading. I'm pretty sure this is the first story I started on here and it's by far had the most growth, in my opinion.

I love y'all!! <3
