Flashback

Flashback :I finished the last of my homework for the term holidays and heaved a huge sign of relief . mum had told me to finish it earlier so that I wouldn't have to rush at the last few days finding a paper to complete my homework . I stacked my paperwork and changed into my jeans ,white crop top and my black sneakers and said a quick goodbye to mum ,promising to come back before dinner and headed down our street .

We recently moved into the town so I was given stares from most of the people around . mum thought that me and my seven year old brother Ryan needed a change after my fathers disappearance so we decided to move into this quiet town where I could continue my studies in secondary school while Ryan could go to his primary school as well . I was glad that mum didn't have to come along with me because most of the children here seems independent ad free . the youngest child to roam in this street might have been only two years old and I being 15 walking down the street with mum complaining about my hair and my school work I swear that I'll never get a friend ,ever .

I passed the Oldbrooks street and took a left turn to the main library .Where I thought I would make my first stop before heading off to the grocers to buy some fruits and vegetables mum wanted . I was just entering the quiet lane when I bumped onto someone . my nose went flat on his chest or whatever muscle wall .

"Ouch !" I groaned as I bumped onto him.

"Uhh sorry , " Said a voice thick in accent .

I looked up to see who was the annoying guy I bumped onto. he looked about 17 . 16 the least with a lightly tanned freckled face and chocolate brown eyes and dark brown hair that fell over his forehead covering his eyebrows lightly . I was dumbstruck ! never in my life have I come across someone soo handsome . I cleared my thoughts focusing on the situation at hand . "uh sorry ," I said flatly .

"You seem lost ."said mystery boy giving me the look .

"Uh ... I know where I'm going " I replied in a huff .

"Better keep your eyes open then " he said playing a smirk . I too smirked back at this straightforward annoying handsome young male . "are you new here ?" he asked .

"Just moved here last week " I said .
"Oh !" he said "this town is no good area for a pretty girl who walks around blindly in its streets " he said playing a smile .

OMG I thought , he called me pretty !
I brushed aside yet another whacky thought and said "my eyes are wide open ! "

"Oh then I guess I would be seeing you soon " he said as he walked passed me smiling "hope to see you !" he called back as he turned down the lane .

I smiled as I saw him go , maybe another student in my secondary school . we'll have a lot to catch up on about . I thought as I headed straight to the library .

I just entered the library when my BFF'S Catherine and Sadie popped up from behind the counter .

"Lovely to see you and how may we help you ?" they asked in unison .
"Guys it's only me !" I said and we all giggled at our silliness . " I got to tell you guys something " I whispered " follow me to the staff room ," Catherine said leading the way and we all three headed off behind her .

We entered the room and Sadie pulled out three chairs for us ." so what's the latest ?" she asked her eyes sparkling .
I told both of them about my recent encounter with mystery boy and they both shrieked as I finished explaining the whole story .

"Some humor he has !" said Sadie doubling up in giggles and hiccups .

"Do you think we can see him ? " Asked Catherine .

"I don't know , maybe he was just joking no biggie " I said even though I was developing serious doubts about him . "no silly " said Catherine ." I think he fancies you " said Sadie .

"Wow you guys !" I said feeling the giggles coming up . they really have a way to cheer me up . we three have a great variety of differences . Sadie is more on the laughing side , she had golden hair that falls down her shoulders and green eyes that makes her look like a goddess . she also has a lightly tanned skin and a few light freckles near her nose . Catherine is more on the girly side with dark hair and hazel eyes . she has a lovely tanned skin and a great BIG GIRLY attitude . me on the other hand I am more of a tomboy girly mix , with brown wavy hair and sea green eyes with a golden rim around it which makes me look intimidating and threatening . I have a lightly tanned skin and like all my friends I have a relatively slim figure which isn't much handy when it comes to fights . We all doubled up laughing again when Sadie cracked yet another joke about this incident . we all then decided to meet up here tomorrow at the same time . I then remembered about the groceries and said a quick goodbye to both Sadie and Catherine and headed off to the grocers my mind full and deeply at thought . I soon bought everything and headed off back home in time.
