Chapter-5

I felt nothing around me . it was a good thing that I could breathe underwater because if I couldn't , I would have died by now. the water turned salty , I felt the power of the sea radiate around me strengthening my muscles helping me to swim upwards surfacing into a big ocean . the waves tossed me around like a pancake . I looked around to see Lucy surfacing to take a big breath . "Lucy ! "I called and she swam towards me . "however did we get here ? "I asked looking to see if Edmund had come out safely . "we have to get to safety !" I heard Lucy . "were in narnia !"

"Where .... are we ?" I asked not trying to be rude .
"Narnia !" Lucy repeated again looking around and we saw Edmund , Susan and Peter surface up .
"Lucy ! " Susan screamed as she , Peter and Edmund swam towards us.
"Edmund , guess what were back in narnia , "Lucy said
" No Caspian this time to save us ." Edmund said smiling at the old thought .
"Uh how did you get here ? " Susan asked looking at me .
"Not sure , the water sort of pulled me in after you guys " I said shrugging . "the waters here are untamed , like they don't know what to do with us anymore "
"What do you mean ' they don't know what to do with us anymore ' ?" Edmund asked as we heard another two voices.
"Victoria ! " Sadie shouted as she and Catherine came swimming towards us .
"How did you guys get here ?" Catherine asked as she paddled herself near .
Same with you guys " Lucy said .
"Well we have to find a way out , don't want to float all evening ." Peter said as he started swimming towards the south direction .
"How do you know that's the right way ? " Susan said . "you could be going anywhere "
"The waters here are Greek ." I said and everyone stared at me except for Catherine . "They lead you anywhere " I said looking at Catherine who swore in ancient Greek , everybody stared at her stunned ." it runs in the family " I laughed as Edmund shot me a look like did she just use it ? . " What do you mean runs in the family ?" He asked .
Catherine laughed at that moment " were cousins , "our parents are brothers and sisters . "the twelve Olympian gods are siblings "I said looking at them . "Catherine is a daughter of Aphrodite , goddess of love and beauty . where as my dad is Poseidon , God of the sea , horses and many other things I don't keep a track of . " I looked at them hoping they understand . "sooo " Sadie said " your best friend back there was Nico , wasn't he your cousin ? " I looked at Sadie giving her a looked to drop it . Edmund tensed and I immediately wanted to slap Sadie on her face . Catherine too ruined the effect . "well you see , Victoria's brother ,Percy is dating a girl from the Athena cabin named Annabeth . Victoria's future half - sister - in - law " she said battering her eye lashes . "ok that's enough of my brother and any thing else , we must find a way to get out ," I said and everyone agreed . who would want to be stuck in the middle of the ocean listening to our family tree. no offence dad !

I looked at the whirlpools forming around me . it had taken a while to form but I some how managed to get the hang of it . suddenly a huge fist carried me upwards where I tried to trace any signs for land . I saw a wide stretch of land with some ancient buildings and ruins , "I see one ! "I shouted and at once a massive wave carried us to the shores of the island . we all scrambled ashore and every one dried themselves up. since I didn't allow myself to get soaked I searched the base of the island for any signs of life . "the golden age , " Edmund said as he came near me . we left it back many years ago according to narnian time . this would be mine and Lucy's second time here " he said looking at the old ruins . "were at cair paravel " Lucy shouted as she came close to us . "Edmund Caspian could be here ." I saw Susan blush at the mention of caspians name . the past three visits they might have got something going on .

"Victoria look ! "I heard Catherine shout as she lifted up a orange t - shirt . it had the initials C.H.B. on it " camp half blood I breathed " I pulled the shirt close . tears brimming my eye "oh gods , I've missed this "i said immediately drying my tears up , I didn't want to look weak in front of the high kings and queens . I looked at Catherine and she nodded . today was too late to scout the island so we promised our selves to check it tomorrow . we both headed back to the beach where Sadie enchanted a fire to burn . immediately everyone fell asleep except me . I was really excited about tomorrow .

"Trouble sleeping ? "I heard Edmund say as he came and sat next to me . I sat up and looked at him , almost wishing he would kiss me . he looked at the sea , lost in thought and after a while spoke to me "there's a small hint of life here . "he said . "a narnian said that it was some Greek , probably beat if we scout cair paravel tomorrow " his chocolate brown eyes turned its gaze on me . "yeah good idea , I found a camp t shirt near the shore . who ever had come here had come by an accident , someone following them " I said looking up at the stars where I was able to identify Zoe , one of my old friends from the hunters of Artemis . she had gone on a quest with Percy and was killed by her own father ,the Titan Atlas . lady Artemis had placed her among the stars as a tribute to her bravery and service to the archers . I sighed , there was so much I missed when I was taken away . Edmund's hand brushed against mine and his hand was warm . he knitted his fingers around my hand and smiled . the night was getting cooler . " Wonder what happened to those ruins ?" I asked . Edmund was silent for a while and then he finally began to speak . " Years ago when the war took place we were sent to a distant countryside mansion where Lucy found narnia from a wardrobe . we too fell into this place and then helped the king Aslan defeat the white which . I was on her side at first ," Edmund sighed " gut Aslan gave me another chance to turn back from her and we four helped defeat the witch . that is Peter , Susan , Lucy and me . we were then crowned the four high kings and queens of narnia . " Edmund looked at me . "go on ... " I said tightening my grip . " Then grew here and one day we just left narnia . time hadn't changed in our world so we came out young like we were before . we were once again called and then again but that time Peter and Susan were too old to go , it was just Lucy , me and our cousin Eustace . this time we all were called and I sense that narnia needs all of us ." he said . I shrugged , "we can do this right ? " I asked "I mean everyone knows basic battle skills " I said . Edmund laughed and held up my fingers as if inspecting them " I assume that these dainty fingers have not yet touched a sword let alone a rough rock " he said looking at them . I huffed " my enemies thinking I'm dainty ? no offence Ed but I guess that I could sword fight better than you" I said gently nudging him . he laughed "we'll see tomorrow "he said and laid down on the soft sea sand and fell asleep , leaving me lost in my thoughts .
