Chapter -14

Edmund's POV

I stared at the sea in horror as Victoria took a thirty feet dive and disappeared .I felt the anger rising in my veins to turn back and see Peter and Caspian , their faces emotionless . I glared at them but they looked distant , "our work is done here , the young sorceress doesn't know what'll hit her . " A hoarse voice spoke out from Caspian's mouth . Susan ran towards me followed by Lucy , "what has happened to them ? " She asked . "we are known as eidolons we serve all darkness , this time you fools will never be able to reach your goal not with your main key missing . " Another voice spoke through Peter this time . his eyes turned gold as well as he looked at the sea in contentment . I stared at them both and I felt a rush of power in me , a vision appeared in my head. I was in a throne room with a. Mighty crown , more better than Peter's , there was gold everywhere and I looked strong and powerful , not the lean muscular frame I have now . everything was perfect but there was something wrong .the merriment had gone and there was not more than three narnians in sight . my vision blurred and I was brought back to reality . "you see , Edmund Pevensie . " one of the eidolons spoke " you have a great future , a future Aslan himself had picked for you , you will be the high king . everyone will be in your power ." the eidolon tempted . I too was thinking of a future like this but my self control saved the day , "no " I said unsheathing my sword , " Get out ! " The eidolons looked at each other . " At least we've done our job. " One said " we can leave these pathetic ones to wander the seas of this cursed island ." the other said as they left both Peter and Caspian who both crumpled on the deck .

I did not see the eidolons go but if I had I would have slithered their throats for chasing away Vic . the shocked crew helped me take Caspian and Peter to the main room . Lucy , Susan and I were waiting for them to wake up . I couldn't stop thinking about what will happen to Victoria who knows what's going on under the sea ? Maybe her fathers war has spread and she's right now battling the sea monsters . my head felt dizzy , just thinking about her made my head dizzy . her power was so strong that it was sort of an aura which almost anyone can feel. I wondered what did she think about me liking her , was it because of that she left ? How come the eidolons knew about that? I felt guilty scaring her by starting to like her .maybe she doesn't like guys like me , maybe she likes guys more popular and braver than me . I sighed I'm not concentrating on the problem at hand .

I looked back at Peter and Caspian as they stirred and their eyes fluttered open , there was no one other than me , Lucy and Susan along with these two idiots in the main room . I figured out that I can give them a piece of my mind . Lucy might have sensed this because she gently placed her hand on my arm warning me not to make any silly moves. maligned once again .

"What happened , " Asked Peter rubbing his forehead "why are we here in the main room where we shouldn't be right now ? " He asked . "what happened ? " Asked Caspian sitting straight in his chair , he seemed to have gained more colour than Peter , "where's Victoria ? " He asked in confusion . Susan shrugged , " Gone for a swim" she said sarcastically . "what do you mean ? " Caspian asked looking at me for some explanation . I didn't want to look at him , after all the pain he caused Victoria . Lucy shrugged and explained everything making it sound positive like , oh yeah fine Peter and Caspian , Victoria wasn't hurt at all are just wanted to go because she felt that she's not suitable .

Peter stared at us his eyes wide , "you mean we did that ? " He asked looking shocked. " what for ? " Caspian asked , "couldn't the eidolons have chosen someone else ? " He said . " Well you two have the highest authority! " Lucy said glancing at me whilst I shot her a look . she looked ashamed and looked down finding her boots more interesting . "we should find her . " I said at last and everyone stared at me . "look I know who did this , it's the White queen , she's awake once again ! " I said releasing the thought that had kept bugging me for some time .everyone looks at me In shock and horror as I looked back at them solemnly . "we should do something " Lucy said getting up from her chair .

We were all ready to head out but a bright light eliminated the room and we all shielded our eyes . it was strong an powerful , after some time a woman stood out . she wore a Tie dried dress on and had startling glass eyes , immediately I recognised who it was and I knew things will not end so well .
