Chapter -16

Victoria's POV

As we all continued our journey , I couldn't help thinking about the war that lied ahead of us . "nervous? " Edmund asked gently . "um no , a bit " I confessed as we continued our walk . To be honest I was freaking out a lot deep inside and I wanted to creep up to a ball and never come out . I didn't want to look weak in front of them so I decided to think about something else . we were nearing a deep cave now and I felt the presence that was making it gloomy . Edmund looked at me for some time like he was studying me , I couldn't help but smile . I'm facing my death and now I get that giddy feeling ?

We were going to set up camp here and enter the cave at night . we were laying down our belongings a bit away from the cave when we heard clopping of hooves and excited voices coming close . Edmund stood up and so did the others . "where do you thing they are ? " I heard a voice say , it sounded strangely familiar . "well we came this far I don't want that her lost or something " a voice said . A broad smile tugged at my lips and I knew that if no one was around I would have whooped out loud . Edmund lifted his sword but I placed my hand gently on his and he looked at me his expression confused . " don't move " i whispered as our camp director appeared into the clearing .

The narnians looked confused and so did Chiron , Edmund looked at me and stifled a laugh . I too tried my best not to crack up in seeing my camp director wearing that funky party ponies shirt me and Nico had designed for him with tie dye and I had pushed Nico's face on the wet dye , his lips and tip of the nose was blotted in dye and so the shirt has his imprint as well . "She's here ! " He said and in came Jason ,Piper,Leo,Hazel,Frank,Percy,Annabeth,Catherine,Sadie, and Nico came rushing in .

Caspian looked at them in horror , like a bunch of strange kids had appeared out of nowhere in armour and now we're surrounded by them . "Victoria ! " Piper shouted flinging her arms on me . "oh gods Percy told us everything , " Jason said , "you were pretty brave though " . I smiled as the others came asking questions . I looked to see Nico standing in the corner fiddling his skull ring , I looked back at Edmund who was staring at him in sort of annoyance . I couldn't help but ignore him , Nico looked kind of out of the place with his ' son of hades ' aura around him . he looked at me and managed a smile . I smiled back and mouthed the words I'll catch up with you later . Nico nodded in response as we headed off into the main tent .

To our surprise I was able to see a golden mane walk inside and saw all the Pevensies and Caspian run inside . we all followed and saw Aslan . he looked in our direction and bowed his head in respect . he turned his gaze onto me and smiled and I smiled back , "its been a great favour that the children of the gods have come to join us in this final battle , the White witch stands strong and she could push anything in her way , it's only by you all and the great prophecy that could save narnia and all its people from her . " Aslan finished looking solemn and his eyes shined of great wisdom .

"Daughter of Athena , " Aslan said looking at Annabeth "your battle strategy should be very useful , " He said and Annabeth walked towards the map where she began to set forces . Aslan turned towards Hazel , "your power underground will serve as a great deed , Frank Zhang , I trust you to help us with the transformation to kill the White witches beasts ." frank nodded his head , "Jason , I trust you with your power over the sky to knock off the White witches Griffins , Piper and Catherine ,you will encourage our narnians who have gone in hiding to come out and fight for narnia . " Aslan continued as piper and Catherine immediately set out with Jason following them . " Leo your power Hephaestus's blacksmith talent , I believe that you could make us some weapons and catapults, " Leo grinned widely . Aslan looked at Nico , " Son of Hades God of the underworld , I have faith that you will assist us with your armies and help narnia . " Nico nodded and looked at me smiling , his playfulness in his face and something else was hidden like he ........ I didn't understand but I smiled back .Aslan turned towards percy , " Perseus Jackson , son of Poseidon , the God of the sea, I trust that you have your campers under control and you too my son have a great role to play as well " he said an Percy nodded . Aslan turned to me " Victoria Jackson daughter of Poseidon , God of the sea , daughter of Elizabeth , queen of he warlocks . " Aslan said as he lowered his head , " My dear the fate of narnia lies on your shoulders . one decision you make influences the whole of narnia " Aslan said making my stomach churn . then almost at once everyone began training and planning . the pevensies and caspian stayed back and caspian went off to practice . I wanted some peace of mind so I went to the woods to practice as the other demigods taught the narnians some sword tricks .

I reached a clearing and began to practice , I was annoyed and angry that the whole of narnia depended on me , I slashed at a nearby tree and swung my sword around making cuts on the tree bark .

"Woah what did the tree do to you? " I heard someone say . I turned with my sword and saw Nico there. "Woah ! " He said and deflected my blow . I was so at a state that I was on the verge of tears , Nico pulled me to a hug and I placed my head on his chest as he tangled his fingers in my hair .

It was so quiet and I heard Nico breathing slow and steady . then suddenly we heard a rustling in the bushes and Nico snapped out of it and pushed back , Nico was blushing furiously and I felt my cheeks go hot . he looked at me and coughed , " Um ah ... I'm going back to camp " he said . "yeah , you better get going ." I said as Nico ran back . I smiled to myself and pushed the wierd thought behind an continued practising .

Woah didn't see that coming did you guyz ? Give me an idea in who to pair up , Ed and Vi or Nico and Vi ?
