Chapter 23

~Fast Run Down of Everything~

Hey guys...this chapter is going to be a bit longer and it will be a quick one. Like it will cover at least 2 to 3 years.

Once we got back to Johannesburg everything went back to normal. There was just a few days before school opened for term 4. I got emily ready. Alex and I are close now especially after he saved me. Matthew came back as well he was angry at me but controlled his angry and I was kinda happy. Everything at work was going smooth and easier than before, Mr and Mrs Brown went on a business trip with their baby. All my friends are happily married with one or two kids. They always made fun if me that I was still single and not ready to mingle. Victor adopted a child and he lives happily with him husband.
Leah , Christina , Blanche and Victoria are both happy with thier husbands , and they have great jobs

Three weeks later

It has been three weeks since school has opened I am more busy and Matthew has changed a little and I am getting comfortable around him , he sees Emily more often and he is learning to be a great father, and I am extremely happy he is trying so much for his daughter, he now pays school fees and I just worry about everything else. We have become to get used to Matthew being around the house more. It's odd that he has changed so much but I think it's for the best . I like this Matthew more than the abusive dominant one.

Alex on this side got a girlfriend from my office. She is a sweet girl and I think this relationship will last and I hope for the best for them.

Three weeks later

It has been two months now since Matthew took half responsibility of Emily. She is happier at school and gets better marks she also is happy that in a month she'll be done with grade 1.

I went to work earlier because Emily is with Matthew most of the time. Today I have an important meeting to attend as a manager at work I have to go with Matthew since Both Mr and Mrs Brown are still on a business trip. We it's actually more of a vacation for them.

I did not know what the meeting was about because we were called by Mr Browns Lawyers. I wondered why all of a sudden lawyers want to see me and Matthew?

We arrived at restaurant that we had the meeting at , the lawyers greeted us and we sat down. One of them opened a file and said...

" Ms Styles , Mr Brown has Will written. That if he dies and none his children are 18 yet you have full responsibility over them and you should take the business as your own. Mr Smith you have 50% in your name as his cousin since you're the only family he has either than his wife. Once his children are 18 they should get their inheritance and the business should belong to the oldest Ms Cassandra Brown. As for the unborn baby the will said if it is born they should get half of everything the oldest is getting. "

That's a lot to take in. Why did Mr Brown write me in his Will ?

" Ms Styles, Mr Brown has written that he trusts you and you have been a loyal employee and once his children have turned 18 you should take 3 million and that's your inheritance. Mr Smith you as well."

The lawyers gave us the will to read and sign , the terms and conditions were also written. I signed so did Matthew.

A few days later

I got a call early in the morning saying I should run to the hospital.
I did not know why but I went there.

I went to hospital and met Matthew so devastated and hurt , he was in tears. He hugged me so tight when he saw that I was standing next to him. It has been a while since I last felt his touch so I reacted to it when he touched me.
I asked him what was wrong and he just sobbed in my shoulder.
