Part 5: The loss

Two days after winning the opening game of the season Chase got this phone call from an unknown number. See Chase thought it was the coach's calling with the schedule but it actually was The hospital telling him that his mom died. Although his mom pulled a gun on him he still went to see her. When he saw he refused to cry because Chloe was with him and he didn't wanna break down right there in front of her. That's when Chloe asked "why are you not crying, you better not be thinking about doing anything to that man just because he beat her to death he will get his Karma." He was so in shock. " No, I'm not crying because right now I have to stay strong for you. We both can't be here in tears right now because one of us has to pick the other person up." said Chase ready to fall out in tears. Come on, let me get you back to the house. I wanna go down to the police station and let him know what's coming for him. Chase dropped Chloe off home and rushed to the prison. He did exactly what he said he would see Chase dad was in the same prison as Oscar. So Chase went down there and told his dad what happened. Chase's dad then set Oscar up. Since Chase dad had been in prison for five years he had a lot of people that could do something to see Oscar but Chase dad wanted to talk to him first. That's exactly what he did. " So you Killed my son's mom after she pulled a gun on her own son for you , Cool you done for." Meanwhile at the house Rose and Chloe were trying to figure out what was going on. Well Chloe already Knew what was going on She was explaining it to Rose. " Chase Is going to the prison, He said Oscar needed to be taken care of." "I hope he doesn't do anything to mess up what he has going on right now." Rose said as she was worried her man would go to jail. See but Chase Knew he had to play basketball and raise his sister and his kid that he will be having soon. That's why he got his dad to do it. "Chase where are you at. You better not be at that prison." Rose said. "I went to visit my dad. He wanted to talk to me. I'm not worried about that man." Chase said. " So where are you going now since you were just visiting your dad?" Chloe said because she didn't believe him. "I'm about to go out and make some money for the rest of the day." Chase said. Chase was going through a lot right now. It really isn't a good idea for him to go out there and deliver people food or drive people around. His mom just passed away a few hours ago. Well I guess he has to pay for her funeral. Well at least that's what his aunt and them thought because his Aunt called him and asked him. " wsp nephew we need you to pay for her funeral we all had a vote and we decided that you will pay." His aunt called and told him.
" Fuck all y'all I'm not paying for nobody I aint hear from y'all in years and my mom pulled a gun on me so dont call my damn phone no more.'' Chase said irradiated that they would even call him and ask him to pay for her funeral. However he did it because he didn't wanna look bad. Knowing that he was raising his little sister he knew he had to pay. Due to the fact that his sister looks up to him he didn't wanna lose her trust. So he worked extremely hard in order to pay for the funeral. Deep down inside Chase was truly hurting from the death of his mother even though she pointed a gun at him. He broke down right in front of Rose and she refused to let him go back out to work. Chase then went to pay Oscar a visit; he just felt like it was the right thing to do. Well at least before he gets him killed. See but Oscar already knew what was going to happen to him. That's the whole reason that Oscar allowed him to come visit. The first thing Oscar said when Chase entered the room. "So you told your dad to kill me?" "Actually no I didn't. I told my dad what you did and that I was also going to bail him out soon so that he could go to my mom's funeral but if he does kill you in here that means he won't be able to get bailed out."chase said as he then followed up with "Yeah I'll have to go talk to him, the fact of the matter is you killed my mother and you and your son raped my mother fucking sister. Y'all thought y'all was going to get away with that. I can have the Guards beat you and your son the fuck up oh just so you know you son is transfering over. Y'all are going to rot in hell."Chase decided to just let them be. He did take a break from practicing basketball; he was extremely stressed out. He was debating if he would go back to playing basketball after losing his mom. It was a true heartbreak for him not only that it was the fact he kept having breakdowns and panic attacks he was just scared. Wondering if it would get worse. That's when things did get worse. He got a call from the prison telling him that his father's prison sentence would be extended which means he will not make the funeral. Apparently his dad shinked Oscar in his cell and he was Caught on camera So he's getting more time. Chase simply told his dad to leave him alone but he just didn't listen. Chase then realized that it was time for him to stop working and focus on basketball. Like right now he just had a lot going on and he was so stressed but he decided that he couldn't stop working until he made enough money for his mom's funeral and he wanted to make sure it was nice. He decided to take a leap year of course with everything. Of course Chase knew that his mom died from a heart attack that she had while Oscar was abusing her but Chase Told her that Oscar beat her to death due to the fact that he didn't wanna explain to her what a heart attack was plus he was in a whole lot of pain after losing his mom. He just felt like he had to stay strong for his sister and that's exactly what he did. He took all of his anger and put it all into the basketball game with crazy dunks, steals, threes, and some fast no look assist. He put it all out there. He turned into a demon on the court.Losing his mom was deep for him but he refused to quit basketball and give up. He just wanted to make her proud. Although they never really connected or bonded he still tried to make her proud. She was always a hard person to impress so Chase went into his mode where he would get really quiet on the court. It was as if he had headphones in because he just ignored everybody and went straight Iso on his defender dunking on them. Plus when he wanted to get his teammate's involved he would yell AAO(Assist Alley oop)Which meant he passed the ball to a teammate and they threw him the oop for points while the teammate got the assist.
