Part 29: Taking the blame

Chase ended up winning the second game due to the other team forfeiting. When he got home he went to drop everyone off. He decided to go to the basketball court. He noticed some strange man just looking around the court. It was the same odd man that was lurking around before chase and the team left; he just didn't pay any attention to it. Chase sat in the car and called up his brother and his cousin. He just sat inside the car until they got there. Once they got there they all hopped out of their car's "How can we help you sir" Chase asked "How are you doing today sir my name Ralph I'm interested in buying your team and this stadium." The strange man said. "Listen here sir I built this team to give people that have been to jail an opportunity, Plus giving girls a chance to play on the same team as men. I know if I sell it their dreams are just crushed again on top of you splitting them apart. That's just not me, they are like my family. Now I'm gonna need you to stop lurking around because last time someone was lurking I got shot I'm have to take precaution so get to stepping sir.'' Chase was pissed that this man came and thought he was going to take their dreams away plus the man refused to leave. Lamar was getting irritated so he punched the man. "He said get out of his face you shouldn't have been standing there trying to refuse. Suddenly the chase cousin pulled out a gun and the chase just snapped. "Bro what the fuck is your problem, you know I was shot and you know I don't like guns being around me because it gives me flashbacks. Put that shit up and go open up the store. You really just ruined my fucking day fuck was you gonna do shoot him?Go ahead and get out of here." Chase then yelled at his brother for punching him. He helped the man up and they went into the stadium. He didn't want anybody to get suspicious about this man just laying down on the ground. Chase then continued to talk to the man. " Listen, I just played two whole games without my team in order for us to get into the playoffs. I'm not selling this team at all sir. I built this team from scratch with all of my money." Chase said. The man got up and he left. He looked irritated and just pissed. Chase Just got to his workouts and getting ready for the playoffs. He was just trying to stay fit for the playoffs. Within twenty five minutes of him practicing his teammates came to visit and congratulate him on the success he had in the last two games. He was getting a lot of attention from it. However he refused to let it get to him because he knew that the playoffs were right around the corner. Once Chase finished with practice he stopped by his shop.Things really took a bad turn from that point. He was in the back of the shop unloading the truck so that he could stock up when he suddenly heard the bells jingle as the front door opened and two officers entered. Officer Darrell and officer Kyng.
"Good afternoon, how can I help you officers? '' Chase said. "Are you the owner?" The officers asked once chase answered yes the officers' voice got more aggressive. "We have reason to believe that your selling drugs out of this shop turn the fuck around and place you hands on the wall" officer Kyng said. While officer Darrell went to search the store. Suddenly Kyng slammed Chase onto the ground. The other officer ripped the entire store apart. Chase ended up snapping on the officers. "I hope you're gonna pay to get my shop fixed back up." Chase said. Officer Kyng then slams Chase face into the ground "A Man what the fuck is your problem?" Chase asked. Now before the officer could say anything officer Darrell came from the back with a bookbag full of Illegal substances. Chase wasn't surprised he knew exactly who drugs but instead of saying who drugs they were he said "Man get off here with that yall just planted that, you know what it dont matter y'all better hope I never get out because I'm taking both of y'all down let's go take me to the station Now." Chase said.So they did. They took him down to the station, processed him and put him in the system. He had one phone call and instead of him calling someone to get him out he called someone to pick up his sister and watch her until his court date. He just ended up calling Armani. He also asked her to send someone down to the store to get the video footage before the cops go back after it. He knew that the drugs weren't planted but he knew that it had evidence of the police abusing him.Chase knew that his store was about to get shut down. So he didn't want one of the court lawyers, he wanted his own. One thing Chase knew was that he wouldn't be in jail for long because he knew once the lawyer got the evidence from Armani that the cops were going to lose because he had proof that he was barely at the store for an entire two months. Meaning that the officers arrested the wrong person on top of the fact they searched his entire store and never presented a warrant. Meaning that the officers did violate his rights. So Chase was ready for his court case. After Chase's phone call he was escorted to his cell. His cellmate started mugging him. Chase knew that he had to be tough and he refused to be treated like a Nut. "What are you in here for youngster" The cellmate asked super aggressively. "Don't worry about why I'm here. Just know I'm in here." Chase responded. The cellmate stood up and started to approach Chase but he didn't show any fear he just stood tall. "What are you getting so close for?" Chase asked the cellmate just kept walking closer so Chase punched him. The cellmate instantly fell to the ground and Chase just started yelling stuff at him. "Stop playing with me pussy I ain't no pussy, Now which bunk is yours?" Chase asked. Now before the guy could answer Chase told him to just sleep on the bottom bunk. Chase knew it would be a while before he got his court date so he had to make sure everyone knew he wasn't a joke. Once they opened up the cell for dinner time while Chase was getting lunch Chase saw David. So he walked up to him,Chase didn't like the way that David was acting. "So what all of a something you think you're tough, I don't like the way you look at me when we both Know I didn't finish giving you that ass whooping which you deserve since you like touching little girls but I see they don't know why you are here." Chase said. Chase took David food and walked off. He was really letting people know not to get on his bad side. Nobody really messed with him after that everyday that he saw chase he just made it extremely hard from him in there just because chase hated his guts. In Chase's eyes every time he saw David he just get reminded of that night where he caught this man hurting his sister. That was something he couldn't forget. Chase decided to play ball he really couldn't go without playing it. Plus he knew he still had the playoffs. However he knew he might not be able to play with him being arrested due to drugs meaning that his cousin might have just ruined his entire future. So he had to prove that he was innocent and that it wasn't his weed, however he didn't want his cousin to end up in jail. Even though he told him not to do it in his store he didn't listen. Chase was trying to find a way to make it look like the cops planted it. Until the lawyer found something in the footage.He noticed the officer that was in the back being a bookbag in through the backdoor the same book bag that they claim they found in the store. Meaning that chase career wasn't ruined, it was far from over. Chase was starting to get a clear idea of what was going on he realized that the cheating team was coming back in order to win the championship. Chase was tired of it. He was mad with the fact that first they tried to kill him then they found a way to get him arrested.It's a good thing that chase would be getting out soon. He knew it was a good thing that they didn't find any real drugs. Chase knew that his court date was a whole three weeks away. He decided to join a street gang.So that he didn't have to keep trying to protect himself on his own.He would have a crew to get into whatever he was in. So when he was messing with David his crew was messing with him too. One day David walked to chase on some type of big tough act. Chase looked at him like he was crazy since David decided to keep talking Chase told him to meet him in the cell so that the guards wouldn't see them fighting when David came out of the cell his entire lip was busted.
