All hell is rising

Part 27: The eye of it

The Season is now just two games away from closing and the playoffs starting.Things were getting tough including the games. People were playing rough and fouling hard. People were getting suspended and ejected. Chase booked a lot of out of state games but he didn't really book any in his hometown because a lot of teams refused to play him. So when out of state teams started offering he was shocked but he knew the playoffs would have to be in state. Meaning even though some teams refused to play him they would see him in the playoffs. With them only being five and two it was a strong Chance of them getting into the playoffs. It was even that much of a fight. However they were five and two but the team he hated the most were only six and one. He just needed them to lose their last two games but even if they didn't he truly couldn't wait to play them in the playoffs. Chase felt like nobody really cared about him. All of the memories started coming back as he remembered how his mom pulled a gun on him. How his girlfriend cheated on him. Then she had a baby with someone else.It was all coming back to him. He truly wasn't having it. He thought about all of the people that did him wrong and all of the people he has left. He realized that he only has his sister and his team. So in his eyes it was extremely important to take his team to the championship because he felt if they didn't or came up short he would feel like he disappointed them. Things came to reality to him he knows he has to step up. He doesn't have a mother or a father he has his own store and gym on top of his own basketball team because although he is a player he is still the owner of the team so use his contracts to put it all into the team. He really built this team for people that were in jail that nearly ruined their life. He is trying to make a change in his community. There's nothing wrong with giving people a second chance. They can't work in certain places they can't vote so it's hard to provide for their family. Which is why Chase gave them a chance. He was going to give them prize money from the championship until they got offered contracts. They all play hard. Although they threaten to cut people off of the team It's not going to really happen because he feels like basketball is the only thing that's keeping them out of jail. Even though most of them haven't been in jail. He wants to play teams in his own city next year because he got tired of going out of state and him having to keep coming back home and not being able to be with his team. The team never blames him for not being around for games or playing in games because they know he's the owner and he has to handle business to keep the team going and alive. He doesn't wanna let this team go, it's all on him he will hold himself accountable. Plus to him they were really like family.As we All know people are going to do anything for family. The team basically looks up to him. However Armani just has this really big crush on him. Chase was scared because Armani went down bad on her ankle and was down on the ground for a good while. He knew it was rough because he just lost a starter to his team. Chase wasn't going to play in the last two games however he decided to step in after Armani went down badly in the last game. He was extremely worried he went and checked up on her everyday. She was happy to see him on a daily basis. However Chase did confess that if they weren't teammates that he would date her. She got extremely excited but she felt like he was just saying that because she was hurt. She just wasn't falling for it. They drove back home before going to the last two season games. Chase dropped Armani off at her house and told her they were going to win those games for her and that's a promise he won't break. Well at least he thought it was a promise he wouldn't break. Until his whole team ended up sick before getting back on the road which meant that they would have to forfeit the game. See but sometimes you just have to put the I in team. Instead of giving up.Chase took everyone home but first he had to go to the gym and get the address and phone number book. So that he could get everyone's address and drop them off. Which was just a waste of time because he just took them to the Emergency room. Once he realized that it was food poisoning. He went back to visit Armani and talk to her. He told her he couldn't do what he promised because the whole team has food poisoning and that they have to forfeit. Chase was pissed because he knew a forfeit would make teams not wanna play them. Which to him meant that their next season was messed up at that point. In his eyes there was nothing left to do but the one thing he hated which was to give up which was the one thing he hated. Until Armani gave him an Idea to play the games by himself. He thought it wasn't possible for him to do until she showed him the rulebook. He could play by himself if the coach allowed it. A one verse five was just crazy. It was going to be a hard game. If he wins that would be huge.He really didn't care if he won or lost at that point all he really cared about was the fact that he didn't have to give up. He also had to make sure he didn't get blown out. That would just be extremely embarrassing. Well at least for him but I'm sure he knows that he has to represent his team. He knows that his team looks up to him. He had to put the I in team and step up to the challenge. Chase knew exactly who he needed in order to stay strong and motivated. He went to get his sister and his coaches and he hit the road. Since it was only him,his sister and his coaches he went back home to get his car. So that they can get there faster. Instead of having to stop for gas every hour it was two gas jugs in the car full of gas. Chase filled those up right before they got onto the road to go to Miami. They have to get on the plane to Hawaii so that they can make it in time. Chase was extremely nervous. To be playing a game four quarters by himself against five players who can shoot and score as long as he is on a different defender. The other four have a stronger chance of scoring. He also felt like his shot's could easily be blocked and the ball could easily be stolen. He didn't know what to think, he just kept thinking about bad things that could happen the entire ride. Then he remembered that he promised Armani and the team that he would win. Once it started to get dark outside Coach Kim started driving while Chase went to sleep in the back. He was in fact scared but Chloe was excited and she wanted Chase to feel the same way.
