Chase walked into the courtroom dressed in a nice blue suit. He was ready to defeat this case and get released. The moment he entered the room court was in session. "All rise," The security guard said. The Judge entered the room and said "You may be seated." She first called up the plaintiffs that were arguing that chase rights were not violated. "Chase rights were not in fact violated. Officers believed that he was selling drugs in his store so they knocked on the door and asked if they could look around. Once he said yes they searched around and found the drugs in the back of the store so they placed him in handcuffs and took him down to the station. However as they were carrying him out of the store Chase tripped and busted his entire face. So that took him to first aid when they got to the prison and they stitched him up, Then took him down for processing and after that they took him to his cell." The lawyer said. That was his opening statement which in fact wasn't true. That's when the lawyer called up Chase's defending team. "Your honor That all Is false information My client was in the back of the store when the officers entered the store Once chase told him he was the manger the officers got more Aggressive forcing him to the floor. While officer David went to the back to search the store, Officer Kyng here was Assaulting my client slamming his face into the ground and Also the officers actually planted a bookbag full of drugs that I believe they got from their evidence room. Think about it, your honor if the store was just about to close and he was stocking up why would he still have a bag full of drugs with no money? I mean I don't think anybody would mix drug money with store money. Now they said they had reason to believe he was selling drugs, however my client was never at the store until that night because he had been on the road, ''Thanks your honor." Chase's lawyer said as he went and set down. She then called The plaintiffs team back up for their rebuttals and witnesses. They didn't really have many witnesses plus the rebuttal was very short. Chase decided that he needed to step up because he felt as though he was going to lose. He told the lawyer what to say as his rebuttal. The lawyer stood up and went off of what Chase told him to say. "Your honor, my client was attacked and harmed badly. You know for someone to be a dirty cop shouldn't they hide the evidence. Your honor, I have the store footage from the night my client was arrested. You can clearly see my client in the back of the store as the officers entered, then you can see officer Kyng Aggressively forcing My client Chase Face into the ground. Cursing a busted lip and A black eye. I also have photos of his face which I took the day after the incident. May I play the video your honor." The lawyer asked. As soon as the Judge said he could play the video he played it. In the video they saw Exactly what the lawyer said that they would see. The entire court was in shock. Chase was ready for this case to end so he could go to the other trial because he is suing the officers for the act that they did. He is suing for 3,000 for what they did to his shop and for what the officer did to his face. After the video it was time for the closing statements. The plaintiffs Closed by saying "your honor that video is in fact false because my clients took all of the camera footage down to the station for evidence meaning that this is a video that they photo edited and put together to make it seem as if he was set up." The moment that Chase's Lawyer stood up to give his closing statement things were over for the plaintiffs. "Your honor this man placed his hand on a bible and swore he would tell the truth but he is in fact lying. They did in fact take the tapes but they only took ones from previous dates but they didn't take the one that was recording because they didn't know where in the store to find it because he keeps the old ones in the offices but the one that is still recording is also in his offices but it was in the computer. Now if you have reason to believe someone is selling drugs shouldn't you present them with a warrant instead of just entering their store slamming them on the ground and just tearing their entire place of business apart. See but that's okay because we have court with them right after this. It's either the court is going to take my client or he is going to go freely. See but I don't think my client should go to jail when the evidence is clear on my side and however the opposing side doesn't have any evidence or witnesses,That's my closing statement." The Lawyer said. He sat down as the judge stood up. "There is clear evidence but it is not my choice to make,It's the Jury decision. Now before we go to Reese to make a decision, does the jury have any questions?" The Judge asked. "You said that your clients took all of the video footage. My question is, why would they do that if they got the drugs, meaning that they must have done something wrong." One person said "well we took it as evidence." Officer Kyng answered. Another Person from the jury asked the question "why did you think it was ok to enter his shop and not present a warrant?" "Why y'all asking us all the questions and not them. "We ask y'all because the way we see it right now it doesn't look like Chase violated anything but it does look like y'all were transpassing due to the fact that in that video y'all tore apart his entire shop and planted drugs." The jury answered. "No more questions, time to go make a decision." Within twenty minutes of being in recess the Jury came to a unanimous decision that Chase right's were in fact violated and they found him guilty meaning that he would be released from prison. Once Chase was released from prison he went right to his other court case due to the fact that he didn't want the cops to try anything sneaky so he let coach Kim drop him off. Luckily he made it before the cops got there. He didn't want them trying to sweet talk or bribe anyone. They ended up waiting twenty five minutes for the officers to arrive. Once the officers arrived they got right into the case. First Chase team of defenders stepped up to the stants to give their opening statement. Believing that The officers did violate chases rights on top of the fact that they arrested him for drugs that they planted and assaulted him. "Good Afternoon your honor my client was slammed to the ground and beaten upon by these officers while one officer faked like he was looking for drugs when he was actually planting the drugs." Chase's lawyer said. They ended up winning.
