Everything finally makes sense.
She was never possessed. It was her dark side. So, Dark Ev? But the only question is, when did she use dark magic?
"Klaus, Hayley, Elijah, and Hope, go find Ev. Me, Ady, Lizzie, and Freya will stay here in case they come back." I say.
"No. Klaus, Hayley, Quinn, and Hope will go. We'll follow you guys in case something happens. She's not going to go down without a fight." Freya argues, and I sigh.
She's right.
We all walk to the exit, but the entrance is on fire, spreading throughout the building. "Glacies corporis." I whisper, and the fire distinguishes. We run out the door and get into two separate cars — Klaus and Hayley in one, me and Hope in the other.
We take off down the back roads, speeding.
We eventually catch up with the car Dark Ev is in. Klaus and Hayley's car catches on fire and right as we are starting to catch up, a dark wave moves toward us, destroying the hoods of the cars like an invisible wall was there.
We stop and jump out, right before the cars explode. We all run toward the hill that isn't far ahead. Hope stands in the middle of the street, her hands up at her hips as she whispers a spell under her breath. The car suddenly starts flipping until it lands upside down.
"That works." I mumble. I watch as they crawl out, Dark Ev calling for someone else. "Who all is in the car?" I ask, turning to Hope.
"Josie." She whispers, fear in her voice.
Who is Josie? Oh wait, she's Lizzie's twin.
The car explodes and I watch as they all spread out, Dark Ev rolling down the hill. "Let's go." Klaus orders, and we walk toward them. Hope walks over to the brown, almost black, haired girl and makes sure she is okay.
Klaus and I walk over to Ev as another car pulls up. She lays at the bottom of the hill, knocked out cold. Freya runs over with ropes and they walk down the hill. They tie her hands and feet together before Klaus picks her up and carries her up the hill.
"We have to tie her." Freya says.
"No, we're not gonna tie Josie!" Hope argues.
"She is on Evelyn's side. She can't be trusted." Freya declares, her voice leaving no room for discussion.
Hope sighs as Freya grabs ropes, tying her arms and feet. Klaus lays Ev down beside Oliver as Elijah picks up Josie. Hayley goes to get in the car, but I hear a whoosh sound. I freeze and look around but brush it off when I don't see anything.
"Let's go." Freya says, and we walk to get in the car, but Katherine and Kai stand by the front, pulling at Hayley's hair.
