"Where's the dagger?" Kai asked.
"Right here." Josie held it up. He nodded and walked out of the room. "I'm still confused on how she got into the coma in the first place. I mean, is that even possible?"
Everyone thought for a moment. "Maybe whatever is inside of her put her there in the first place." Oliver suggested.
The three nodded in agreement. It was a better theory than they could think of at the moment.
The sound of a phone ringing pulled their attention away from each other. "It's Freya." Oliver announced, looking at his phone.
"I thought we wanted her dead, along with the rest of them?" Katherine asked, confused.
"We're siding with them, remember?" Oliver gave her a look, recalling the conversation from the basement, making her roll her eyes. Oliver answered the phone since it kept ringing and walked out of the room. "What?" He asked, irritated.
"We did a resurrection spell on two girls." Freya spoke immediately.
"Why the hell would you do that?" Oliver asked, confused.
"They can help. One's a witch, one's a siphoner." Freya explained.
"What's a siphoner?"
"Ask Josie." Freya told briskly before hanging up on him, leaving him confused.
"What'd she need?" Josie asked.
"She did a resurrection on two girls, so they could help. Now, what is a siphoner?" Oliver asked.
"They absorb magic from a supernatural source. Lizzie took down the barrier by siphoning its magic and that's how we ended up here." Josie explained.
"You and Lizzie are siphoners?" Oliver asked.
"Yes."
"Can't you siphon the magic out of Evelyn to get this thing out of her?"
"I've tried. It was powerful enough to resist me." Josie explained.
"Damn it." He mumbled, flopping down onto the couch. Oliver's phone started ringing again and he sighed, seeing Freya's contact name pop up.
"We had a deal." Freya spoke instantly.
"What are you talking about?" Oliver asked, confused.
"Evelyn's minions are here, and they were compelled. We're outnumbered." Freya said, grunting from the other line
"I'll figure out how to get them to—" A scream made Oliver pause as the lights flickered and glasses shook.
"What the hell was that?" Freya asked, hearing it too.
"I'll call you back." Oliver declared before hanging up. They all got up and ran downstairs to the room Evelyn was in.
