I pull up to the Mikaelson manor and climb out, Kai, Katherine, and Josie following. We grab the bags full of weapons and walk inside, everyone sitting or standing in the main area. I sit out the items and pick up a handgun.

"Do you even know how to use that?" Rebekah asks, crossing her arms.

"To be honest, nope." I answer, looking up from the handgun.

"Oh, bloody hell." Klaus mumbles, pinching the bridge of his nose before storming over and snatching the gun from me, putting it back.

"You can't use it if you don't know how." Josie speaks.

"I'll learn." I shrug before turning to Freya. "Why'd you resurrect those two girls instead of Quinn and Adelaide?" I find myself asking.

"They're helpful." She says simply.

"And Quinn and Adelaide aren't? They're witches. They could've easily helped!" I state, getting frustrated. She brought back two girls that she didn't even know and left Quinn and Adelaide to rot in a coffin.

"We're adults. They're just meaningless teenagers with magic. We are smarter." The brunette with blonde highlights says, and I scoff.

"I couldn't give a damn about your age. Quinn and Adelaide are mine and Evelyn's best friends. Sure, she killed them, but she didn't have control. She is stuck with something dark living inside of her, and I plan on getting it out of her." I declare.

"Julianna, leave him alone. He just wants his friends back." The other brunette says.

"Damn right I do. I don't know you, and I don't plan on getting to know you. All I want is for things to return to normal. But being in the Mikaelson family, it doesn't happen!" I state, glaring at said Mikaelsons.

"Stop being such an ignorant asshole!" Julianna shouts, standing up from her seat on the couch.

"I'm an ignorant asshole? I'm so sorry for wanting to have normal things like most people. I want to go on dates with my girlfriend, go to sleep with her beside me and wake up to find her there! I wanna see my best friends and go on late night strolls in the park! I'm so sorry that I just want to be happy again!" I yell, my voice drenched in sarcasm.

"Enough!" Freya intervenes. "Arguing will get you nowhere. Nothing is going to return to the way they were; you have to accept that. Now, get ready. Oliver, go get Evelyn." She orders.

I roll my eyes as everyone gets in position. I walk toward the door to leave when I freeze at the person in front of me with crossed arms.

"Ev." I call.

She's not supposed to be awake. How is she awake?

"Oliver." She counters, uncrossing her arms and walking toward me. "You know, I really thought I could trust you, but everything just makes sense." She laughs humorlessly, stopping a few feet in front of me. "The vervain in my tea, the fear of dying at the hands of the Mikaelsons. It was all an act." She smiles bitterly at me before averting her gaze.

"I wasn't acting."

I never put vervain in her tea. I was afraid of dying at the hands of the Mikaelsons.

"Well, I can assure you one thing," She says, meeting my gaze again. I look at her confused. "You will die at the hands of a Mikaelson." She growls before kicking me in the stomach. I fly into the compound, landing on the ground with a groan.

Everyone starts lunging at her as I stand up. Kai and Josie grab a dart gun and start shooting. One lands in her leg, but she rips it out before looking up at them and glaring.

"You're gonna regret that." She growls, her eyes turning pitch black. She manages to fight everyone off, even with vervain in her system. Kai and Josie take off, Evelyn following behind them.

I run up to the second floor, where they ran to. Kai shoots Evelyn again, but she catches it. I run to her and throw her, making a dent in the wall as she falls to the ground with a startled gasp. Kai and Josie run, but I stay.

Evelyn stands up and smirks. "A hybrid against a tri-brid? Rookie move." She smirks lethally before holding her hand out toward me. "Ictus." She says, making me fly back. I land on the ground, but she's already by me. She picks me up by my shirt collar and pins me to the wall by my neck, my height making me tower over her. "Hate to burst your bubble, but you can't win against me." She smiles bitterly.

I glare and shove her off, making her fall to the ground. She quickly stands up, but I kick her, making her fly back. I walk toward her as she stands up, holding her hand up. The dagger she made flies into her hand and she lunges at me, making me fall to the ground with a grunt.

She throws a few punches at my face, and I let her. "You're not putting up a fight." She grunts. I grab her wrists, pinning them together.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, Ev." I grunt as she thrashes in my hold.

"Then this'll be easy." She grunts the word as she gets her wrists free and starts punching me again.

I throw her off and she lands on the ground, the dagger landing beside her. We both quickly stand up and she grabs the dagger. She pins me to the wall, the dagger hovering over my heart.

"Do it. You can send me to wherever Quinn and Adelaide are." I say, breathing heavily. She seems to be hesitating. She looks to be having an internal battle with herself. "I'll be happy. Do it." I demand.

"Stop it." She whispers.

"Kill me, Evelyn."

"Stop." She whispers, squeezing her eyes shut as her grip tightens on the dagger.

"Do it!" I shout.

"SHUT UP!" She screams, dropping the dagger as she stumbles away. I pick up the dagger as she looks at me. Her breathing comes in heavy pants as she stands frozen. "Ollie?" She whispers, making me freeze.

I haven't heard that name in four months.

"Ev?" I ask, unsure if it were really her, or if it's whatever is inside of her tricking me.

"I-I'm here." She whispers, a small smile lifting upon her lips. She suddenly squeezes her eyes shut. "I-I can't hold it off for...very long." She chokes out.

I reach into my pocket and grab the syringe filled with vervain. I walk toward her and cup her face. "I'm gonna save you. I promise." I whisper.

"You...better." She breathes out. I place a kiss on her forehead before stabbing her neck with the syringe, catching her body as she collapses into my arms.

I pick her up and carry her downstairs, walking to the circle. I step inside, laying her down in the middle. I step back out and watch as Freya, Davina, Vincent, Bonnie, Lizzie, Josie, Kai, Julianna, and the brunette all stand around the circle, holding hands.

"Aufer has tenebras, hanc terram relinque, et ad fontem redi." They all chant. Her back arches as they continue the spell, the magic getting stronger, brighter. Black smoke escapes from her chest, yelling profanities as it's sucked into the ascendent Freya made, that Klaus is holding.

Her body collapses as the evil entity is trapped inside the ascendent. The chanting stops and all of the witches collapse to the ground.

"What just happened?" Katherine asked, confused.

"They're exhausted. Help us put them to bed. They'll wake up in a little bit." Caroline says. Wait, Caroline? Where the hell did she come from?

I step inside of the circle and move a strand of hair from her face and behind her ear. "I promised I'd save you." I whisper before picking her up, carrying her upstairs to her bedroom.

I really hope this worked. I can't stand the way she's become.

The Evelyn I knew wasn't cruel, cold-hearted, or a murderer. She was a fighter and she'd do anything to save her friends and family.

That is the Evelyn I fell in love with.
