Days passed by in a blur, and Evelyn had only been getting stronger and more powerful as each hour ticked by.

She practiced her magic on different people who had been turned, many getting murdered each day. Many would until Evelyn gained full control over her magic.

"Alright, I believe I'm done." Evelyn said, leaving the basement.

They nodded and followed behind her. Everyone went to the main room while Evelyn left to go to the room she had been staying in.

I look at the girl in the mirror that's supposedly my reflection. But the girl doesn't look like me. She looks powerful, fearless, strong. The look in her eyes is no longer love, but hatred.

I've changed. And quite frankly, I'm not sure if I like the person I'm becoming.

I look in the mirror, noticing a shadow standing behind me. I narrow my eyes before turning around. Instead of one, there are two figures.

Adelaide and Quinn.

The ones who had been murdered with a snap of the neck.

"You're supposed to be dead." I state.

"Murderer." Quinn scowls.

"Monster." Adelaide snarls.

I shake my head, denying it. "No, it's not my fault." I whisper to myself.

"Murderer. " Quinn says again.

I run my fingers through my hair halfway before tugging at it.

"Monster." Adelaide speaks again. They repeat the same thing over and over again as my breathing picks up, the lights starting to flicker and wind appears out of nowhere.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" I scream, the lights bursting with sparks. Everything calms down, the wind stopping. My breathing comes in heavy pants as I look around, the two nowhere to be seen.

It was all in my head. They were in my head. I'm driving myself insane! I'm going absolutely insane.

"I will control you at some point," I gasp and spin back to the mirror, meeting the same pair of blue eyes as mine. "And you'll be dead when I do."
