Freya sat on the couch in the compound, brainstorming ideas and reactions. She had thought of one way that might work, but she was still unsure. If she loved him enough, it would work.
"Aunt Freya, when are we gonna put the plan to use?" Hope asked, walking over to the couch where she was still seated.
"We will soon. We need to get Oliver ready, but you cannot tell him about the plan. He'll run." Freya stated. She nodded and walked away.
"Freya, when are we getting Ev back? She can't just sit and rot in a coffin for the rest of eternity." Oliver said, walking up to Freya.
Freya stood up and turned to Oliver. "We'll wake her up in a few days. The only way to bring back her humanity is to kill the one she has a strongest connection with. Hayley." Freya lied.
Oliver seemed skeptical but nodded and walked off. Freya walked upstairs and wandered into the bedroom that Hayley was in, shutting the door. "I've figured out the plan."
"What is it?" Hayley asked.
"Oliver's gonna be the sacrifice. She loves him. She'll think that the best way to make him proud is to continue living." Freya explained.
"And if it doesn't work?"
"It will. It has to." Freya responded. Hayley nodded unsurely, and Freya left the room. She walked toward the railing, watching Oliver and Hope throw punches at each other. Hope swung at Oliver, but he ducked, swinging his leg under Hope and knocking her off balance.
"For a tri-brid, I expected more of a fight." Oliver taunted, and Hope's gaze hardened. Hope latched onto his ankle and pulled his leg out, throwing him off balance. She climbed on top of him, straddling him with one hand on his chest.
"You fight like a girl." Hope taunted, and his gaze hardened to a glare. She climbed off of him as Freya finished walking down the steps.
"What are you two doing?" Freya asked, bewildered.
"Training." Hope answered, catching her breath.
"For what?"
"In case we have to fight Ev." Oliver said, and Freya slowly nodded her head.
"We need to get the dagger before Lynn does." Hope stated, grabbing Freya's attention.
Freya thought for a moment. "We can undagger her and have a vampire grab the dagger before she can." Freya said, and Hope nodded.
Oliver and Hope ambled up the stairs to take a shower and rinse off the built up sweat. "Sister." Elijah called, walking up to Freya.
"Elijah." Freya copied.
"What do you have in mind for Evelyn?" She thought for a moment.
Should I lie or not? She asked herself. "I'll tell you later." She finally said before walking off to the kitchen for a glass of water. She grabbed a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water. She took a sip as she started to stumble, suddenly feeling drowsy.
