"There's absolutely no history of this spell. We can't save Evelyn if we can't figure out what spell to use." Angel states.
She has an ice pack placed against the back of her head from where she hit the wall. She was unconscious for a few hours, but we were lucky to get her awake.
"So...what are you saying?" Quinn asks, furrowing her brows.
"It's a newly created hex." Adelaide answers.
"In order to reverse it, we need to find the original creator." Angel explains.
"Yeah, like we can just find them standing around with a giant banner, saying 'hey! I created the hex that's been placed on your friend and I know how to fix it!'" I respond sarcastically.
"Now is not the time for sarcasm, Alexander." Angel says, glaring at me.
"Is he wrong, though?" Quinn asks, standing up off the table after leaning on it. Angel shifts her glare to Quinn, but she looks unfazed. "I've dealt with Ev's resting bitch face and death stares since we were in high school. Your death stares are nothing." Quinn retorts with a blank face.
Angel narrows her eyes at Quinn, but she just shrugs. "Guys! If you're done with this little side convo, then we can get back on topic where we find out who the hell created this hex and reverse it!" Adelaide yells.
Quinn instantly shuts up, backing down. Angel stands up straight and connects her hands behind her back, bowing her head.
Okayyyy... Note to self: Do not piss off Adelaide.
"What about me?" Evelyn asks, suddenly appearing in the gap between me and Adelaide. Everyone stares at her in silence. "Yeah... You guys aren't very quiet." She scrunches her nose slightly before turning to me.
She reaches her hand out toward me, but I grab her wrist, stopping her. I spin her around and pin her against my chest, my hand tight against her arm. Her hair lifts as she blows it out of her face.
"As much as I find this position hot, you're not my type." She tells, sounding breathless even though she hasn't done anything.
"I could say the same about you. I'm more of a brunette type of guy." I admit.
"Noted. Now let's have some real fun." She says before headbutting me with a grunt, followed by my groan.
She spins around and kicks me in the stomach, flinging me into a wall. I land on the ground and groan in pain. I slowly push myself up off the floor, my body screaming at me to stop. I look at one of the tables and recognize the ring on it.
I grab it and slide it on. I turn to Evelyn as Angel kicks her and she flies into the railing on the steps, breaking it.
"Evelyn!" I call. My voice sounds different, even to me. Angel, Quinn, and Adelaide turn toward me, their eyes widening.
