As everyone went silent and the gazes shifted, the two children who seemed to slip in as everyone was disracted stood there silently for a few minutes before one of them finally spoke and the other followed.
"Welcome back."
"Congratulations. I am glad you are safe."
Their introduction failed to complete;y silence the slight uproar between a few compettitors who lived through this trial. Despite there only being four it was suprisingly more annoying then one would expect.
With one boy muttering how he's suprised he isn't dead and how he'd die eventually and a somewhat older person with a mowhawk seemed..unnecessarily upset by their greeting? They seemed in a hurry.
While those two were distracting, no matter how much you looked around you couldn't find the boar headed bastard who knocked into you earlier. In any case it seemed like he might've died a few minutes after he knocked you and Kato over.
'I wonder...'
Just as you began to think to yourself, your thouhgts were interrupted by the two children suddenly speaking up again. By the looks of it anything they said could be important to the job you take on next, afterall what other reason would they need to be there?
"First we will provide your corps uniform. We will take your measurements and then engrave your rank."
"There are ten ranks. Kinoe, Kinoto, Hinoe, Hinoto, Tsuchinoe, Tsuchinoto, Kanoe, Kanoto, Mizunoe, and Mizunoto."
"Right now, you are all at the bottom rank of Mizunoto."
Those seem like a lot of ranks to climb, but maybe there's a way to pass some over with some extra training or maybe missions? If you can climb the ranks you can secure a spot for you and your younger siblings to live.
"Where's my Kitana?"
"Today you will choose the ore for your sword. Then it will take up to two weeks for the Kitana to be finished."
"Then we will assign you a Kasugai crow."
CLAP CLAP
More clapping and more complaining from that one person with the mowhawk about a kitana despite them explaining where they are and why they aren't here right now. Suddenly the heavy flapping of bird wings and cawing could be heard , getting closer and closer.
