PRESENT DAY

As I continued walking along my sister started to wake up, she looked at me and asked

 "(Y/N)-Nee/Nii, are you okay? You look sleepy...and hungry" I heard her say, I looked down and smiled at her warmly

 "Don't worry about me (S/N) You're starting to get cold so I should hurry up and get you and (B/S/N) near a fire" I said as I looked around for a spot we could sleep, luckily I found a cave and quickly ran over there for more shelter. 

'Damn, this cave is dense. It might be another snow storm so it's the best chance we've got at getting through it' 

I thought to myself as I went inside and placed my siblings down, looking for a way to block the front of the cave I spotted and grabbed a ripped thin tree piece of bark and put it in the entryway so the wind wouldn't blow out the fire. 

I placed a heavy rock in front then looked over at my sisters  (B/S/N) had woken up by now. 

They were probably hungry, luckily we ran across a few villages that didn't know us on our way here so I picked up a few things.

 "(Y-(Y-(Y/N)!" I heard a tiny voice call  as I was digging throw the basket for food, I snapped my head at (B/S/N) and smiled at her "Yeah..That's me your older sibling..(Y/N)-Nii/Nee"

 I took out a box of Onigiri and handed them two each.

 I pat them both on the head and gave them a warm smile, they smiled back and I felt my heart warm up a little bit.

 I stood up and grabbed sme sticks bringing them over and starting a fire so they could warm up. 

I stacked rocks around it high enough so (B/S/N) couldn't get to it and accidentally burn herself. 

I went over to grab something else out the basket, I set up the blankets and pillows making sure to set them up nicely so they could sleep in comfort. 

"What about you (Y/N)? where are you gonna sleep?" I heard (S/N) ask me, I turned to face her thinking about a way to her question.

 "I'm gonna keep watch, so I can protect you two" I said as I walked over and grabbed something

 "I've got something for you two so go ahead, lay down and get ready for bed." I said and listened to the running and excited giggling as they hurried to the mats to get prepared for bed.

I walked over to them and smiled as I took two stuffed toys from behind my back and gave it to them "YaY!" They both cheered well, (B/S/N) more so giggled when I gave her the toy. 

I kissed their foreheads and told them goodnight before dimming the fire and turning my attention to the entrance, I took the box out of my pocket after they went to sleep. 

I took a look at the box and flipped it around in my hands for a bit before I took a deep breath and opened it and saw a shiny looking string in it, I took it out only to reveal a necklace

I gasped silently and looked at the necklace and smiled as I put it on. I then saw a note, it read

Dear (Y/N),I  know I'm probably really annoying and clingy even a scary cat, But I know that I'm really glad to be your friend for all these three years , you're super nice and patient with me even when I always try to run away or give up, you're really pretty/handsome too and that is why I can't wait to marry you when we get older! Just like we promised, Even if we get separated  we have the same necklace and we're best-friends!  Best-friends are like soulmates! So we can't separate for to long, we just have to meet again later! Either here or when we are all grey and stuff! 

I really love you (Y/N)-Chan! Don't ever forget our promise

I smiled softly as I read the letter and tears rolled down my face, 'Zenitsu..You were always a one with words' 

I chuckled sadly as I folded the letter up and put it back in the box safely as I looked up at the entrance of the cave holding the box and gripping the necklace tight. 

"Let's just hope you're still alive to keep that promise"
