One night

Im so sorry

I walked into aprils room and she was curled up in a ball, crying. I walk quietly over to her so she can see me.
"Chloe?"
"Im here April"
She starts sobbing, "can I?" I point to sitting next to her. She nods. I put my hand on hers and she flinches. She starts crying more before she gets up and throws her arms around me, she is sobbing her heart out and all I can do is hold her and cry with her.
"Im here for you" she nods and we just hold each other.

After an hour of crying April falls asleep holding my hand. The doctors comes in to check on her but when she sees she is asleep she goes to walk out of the room.
"Excuse me"
"Yes"
"Can you get my boyfriend from the waiting room?"
"Of course"
She walks out and about 10 minutes later chris walks in. He sees April curled up next to me and he looks so sad.
"How is she?" He whispers
"Scared"
"What do you need me to do?"
"Can you go to her hotel and take her stuff to my house?"
"Of course I can"
He walks over to me and kisses my forehead "anything else?"
"I don't think so, I need to find out from the doctor when she can be discharged and I need to ring her mum. Maybe when you finish could you come back here, if she feels comfortable you can sit with her while I ring her mum"
"Of course sweetie"
"Thank you baby. I love you"
"I love you too. You want me to pick some food up?"
"No, not yet anyway."
"Okay. I'll be back soon okay"
"Okay"
He walks out with aprils key and I stay by her side. I don't know how but I'm going to get her through this.

After an hour, April wakes up and she is happy to see I'm still here. Just as she sits up chris comes in.
"Hey, sorry did I wake you"
She shook her head and he smiled at me.
"All sorted babe"
"Thank you. Chris has moved all your stuff to my house okay. Your staying with me"
"Thank you"
"Not a problem"
She has a tight grip on my arm and I can see the tears rolling down her cheeks.
I wipe them away with my thumb.
"Me and chris are going to look after you okay?"
"Okay"
"I need to go ring your mum April. Will you be okay with chris?"
"Yeah I'll be okay"
"Okay" I kiss her head and walk out of the room.

Chris POV

When Chloe walks out I'm not sure what to do. April is just staring at the door and I don't want to say anything stupid.
"Im so sorry chris"
I look over at her "sorry for what?"
"For distrupting yours and Chloe life"
"Don't be silly, your her best friend April"
"I know but I haven't been a great best friend lately and now she is taking care of me"
"She loves you. She wouldn't have it any other way"
"I know. I love her too and I'm so glad she met you"
I smile "thank you. Im just sorry I've been taking up all her time"
"No don't be. It's about time she found some happiness"
"April, you will always be important to her no matter what okay"
She nods and places her hand on mine "your the best thing to happen to her in a long time"
"Im glad you think so but Honestly she is the best thing to happen to me in a long time too"
"She is a special one that girl"
"Yes she is. I know we don't know each other very well but if you ever need to talk I'm here"
"Thank you chris"
I smile at her, the door opens and in walks Chloe.
"Your mum is getting a flight out here as soon as possible"
"Thank you Chloe"
"Let me call Downey, we can use his private plane"
"You don't have to do that chris"
"Of course I do, give me a second"
I walk out and call Downey, I explain what has happened and he is happy to help. He tells me to text him all the details and he will organise it all for tonight.
I go back to the room and tell Chloe and April. They contact aprils mum again and we sort out all the details.
April keeps thanking me, I tell her it's the least I can do.
Chloe looks at me smiling. I really love this girl and I would anything for her.
