I straightened the collar of shirt and looked in the mirror again. I most certainly didn't want a repeat of Emma's new years party, which ended in a hangover.
"Tyler is here Phil!" Martyn called from downstairs. I put my phone in my pocket and went downstairs to meet Tyler.
"Hey Tyler," I casually spoke. I was nervous to see Dan, and I sure as hell wasn't looking forward to watching him kiss Emma when I knew he despised her.
We headed out the door and walked to Dan's, since he was driving us there. I knocked on his door and when it opened his scent blew into my face. It was a mix of cologne and vanilla.
"Ready to go?" I asked. His bit his lip as his eyes grazed over me, making me feel self-conscious.
"Yeah, I'm ready," His voice was a husky tone and as he spoke I got chills down my spine.
Tyler and I followed him to the car and I sat in the passenger seat next to Dan.
"Can I turn on the radio?" Dan shook his head as he turned the keys.
"I can't concentrate when it's on, sorry."
"It's fine," I assured him, rubbing the back of his hand with my thumb for a moment.
"How many people are gonna be there?" Asked Tyler. Dan shrugged and began to drive down the road.
"Most of our grade I think, so around eighty maybe." I nodded as my nerves began to build up. I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of the whole grade!
"When we get there you both need to take a shot and sit down with me. We're doing the annual spin the bottle game, except when it lands on you the person who last spun it gets to dare you."
"Wait, what?"
"And if you pass you have to chug half a glass of beer."
"What?" I exclaimed shocked.
"Well fuck," Tyler giggled. This was going to be a long night.
We started pulling up the driveway and in that moment I began to panic.
"I don't feel well, maybe I should walk home." Dan took my hand in his own and squeezed it.
"You're fine, trust me. The worst dare ever was licking a toilet seat." I giggled and let go of Dan's hand, exchanging it for Tyler's.
"Seriously?" I asked as he rang the doorbell.
"Yep." Some random guy who I assumed went to our school let us in and we all walked to the kitchen and were forced to take a shot.
"Cheers!" Tyler yelled as he gulped his down. It burned my throat slightly and I was already regretting it. Tyler placed his lips on mine for a moment and then proceeded to drag me to the living room where a giant circle had formed. Since we arrived late several people were already drunk.
"Da-anny!" Emma giggled, patting the seat next to her for Dan to sit at. He gave me an apologetic look and sat next to her, so I brought Tyler to the closest spot I could find and sat down.
"Okay my turn to spin," Someone said, and the bottle landed on a girl Molly in my science class.
"What do I have to do?" She asked annoyed, huffing. I could tell she was one of the few sober ones and was sick of this game because of the dumb dares.
"You have to, um. . ." He paused in deep concentration when his face lit up.
"You have to eat a mouthful of hot sauce." Molly rolled her eyes and left the room, coming back with a glass of water and a spoonful of red sauce. She quickly ate the hot sauce then gulped down water and rolled her eyes.
"That was so cool," Someone yelled and then she spun the bottle. It landed on Joe, who was already slightly intoxicated.
"You have to put ice in your underwear for five minutes." Joe stumbled out of the room and came back with ice, shoved it down his pants and yelped. He shimmied back to his seat where he sat shaking and was obviously uncomfortable. He spun the bottle and it landed on Tyler.
"You have to moon someone."
"Wait, fuck," He mumbled.
"Just do it to someone you know who is also very very drunk." Tyler nodded and walked over to this boy Connor who was also an exchange student and was also very very drunk. Tyler mooned him and Connor laughed as he walked back to his seat.
I could tell most people wanted the bottle to land on them, but I was one of the few who didn't.

A few hours later the bottle only landed on me once and I passed both times because they were pretty scary, but now I couldn't remember them because their was constantly a drink in my hand and everything was blurry.
"Dan, your turn!" Dan huffed and stood up walking towards me.
"What?" I asked confused, his eyes bloodshot and filled with anger and also lust.
"My dare, I have to do something I don't want to do. I've been avoiding this actually."
"Well what is it?" He sat in front of me and took my hands in his own.
"To kiss you." My jaw dropped and he smirked his face inching closer to mine.
"Wait, seriously? I have to kiss you?"
"Well technically I have to kiss you, but yeah, more or less." I gulped and my hands shook.
"I'm awful at kissing."
"We both know that isn't true Phil."
"I don't want to kiss you again." Dan smirked and now his breath was hitting my lips.
"Well that's too bad, now isn't it?" He licked his lips and planted them on mine messily, but I eagerly kissed back and I heard people making noise but I couldn't really hear the noises. Everything sort of faded and it wasn't a bad thing or a good thing, but I didn't like it anyhow.
"You're a good kisser Lester." And now we were back to the start. Me confused because now that I looked the bottle hadn't landed on Dan it was on some girl who was still doing her dare and no one was looking at us. But before I could ask he walked away.
