For Our Parent's Sakes (Phanfiction)

Chapter 6

"Mum, when are we leaving?" I asked as I went downstairs.

"Change of plans. Aunt Margret had something come up, so instead the Howell's are coming over!" I acted excited, but really I was annoyed.

You see, in the past couple weeks we have been hanging out with them a lot. It wouldn't be as bad, but Dan continues to confuse me with his actions. Obviously he acts super friendly around me when our parents are there, and for a couple seconds I do start to believe old Dan is back. But when we are alone he gets really rude and obnoxious. Worse than before we were even pretending. It's like he's trying to prove to me he really does hate me.

"When will they be here?" I asked just before the doorbell rang.

My mum chuckled as she said, "Well now I suppose."

I quickly rushed up to my room before they walked in and texted Tyler.

Want to go to the shops later? I hoped he would respond quickly and luckily he did.

Sure! What time? I typed quickly as I heard footsteps up the stairs.

Meet me at my house in an hour I typed out my address as the door opened.

Okay see you then!

"Who're you texting?" Dan asked as he rudely burst in my room.

"No one important," I mumbled as I pushed past him to go talk to my mum.

"Mum!" I called as I walked downstairs.

"Yes, Phil?" She asked as I saw her drinking tea with Mrs. Howell.

"I forgot to tell you, but me and my friend Tyler are going to the shops later. He should be here in about an hour."

"Well that's fine! But can't you let Daniel tag along, too?" She asked me. I wanted to scream.

"Um, well-"

"That sounds like a great idea!" Dan's mum exclaimed.

"Why don't you text this Tyler and ask him if he doesn't mind Dan coming with you?" I nodded as I mumbled profanities under my breath and texted Tyler.

My mum's friend's son came over and they want to know if he can come too? Sorry! :(

I sighed, knowing Tyler wouldn't care.

"Yeah, he can come." I told my mum as I walked back up the stairs to tell Dan.

"You're coming shopping with us Dan," I said as I walked into my room.

"Who is exactly is us?" He asked. Suddenly an idea came to me and this hanging out didn't seem so boring anymore. It might actually be fun.

"Just wait and see," I said as I texted Tyler my "plan". This should be fun.

"Okay, so what do you want me to do again?" Tyler asked as Dan was in the bathroom.

"Just pretend we are together."

"How often? Just whenever Dan is around?"

"Yeah," So Tyler took my hand and linked our fingers together. I blushed at the action and Tyler laughed.

"You're my new bae!" He said happily. I nodded and laughed as I turned to see Dan returning. I quickly turned and pecked Tyler's cheek as he smiled at me.

"Why thank you," He said laughing as Dan walked over.

"I didn't realize you two were together," Dan said awkwardly.
