Chapter 10

holy shit that video made my existence

The next morning was well spent in bed, moaning from my headache. I knew there was something I needed to remember, but I didn't know what it was.

Everything had black holes in it, Dan getting mad, Tyler leaving with Troye, leaving, wait, was I even home?

I sat up and looked around, and sure enough I was indeed not home. What happened after I last talked to Dan? Where did I go?

I stood up slowly, trying not to make my headache worse, and called for Dan.

"Shh!" Someone said quickly, putting there hand over my mouth from behind and whispered quickly in my ear.

"You'll wake everyone up and than we will have to face everyone crying, so lets go," They whispered, moving their hand and taking my own, leading me outside. Once they took my hand I knew who it was.

"Dan, why didn't we go home last night?" I whispered.

"I forgot, and I passed out and I'm assuming you did too, judging by you were asleep on the couch." I blushed and looked away, hoping he wouldn't let go of my hand anytime soon. It felt nice.

"It's freezing! I need my coat!" I mumbled, my teeth chattering as we walked outside. Goosebumps raised on my arms as I started to shiver.

"You're fine, c'mon the car is right here." I nodded and got in, the leather seats making me colder.

"Danny! It's colder in here!" I exclaimed, the cold seats making me feel like I was going to cry.

"Why did you call me Danny? You never call me that anymore," Dan said smiling slightly.

"I dunno, it's just natural I guess." Dan nodded and told me to come in the back seat with him.

"Lets wait till the car warms up, yeah?"'He said as I got in. I was confused at first, but than he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer, and I got it.

"Okay," I said quietly, sighing. These were moments when I was truly happy, and really wished he still was my friend.

Eventually I found myself falling asleep in a warm pair of arms, and when I woke up I was home.

"Did you have fun at the party Phil?" Mum asked once I woke up.

"Yeah, it was nice," I said, faking a smile.

"Dan shushed everyone when he got here and carried you up to bed. It was really adorable," Mum said smiling. My heart fluttered slightly at the thought, but I ignored it. Dan was not kind, and my butterflies had trouble remembering that.

"He carried me up the steps and put me to bed?" I asked, trying to hide my red cheeks. Mum nodded smiling and poked my nose.

"You two are so adorable!" She gushed, sipping on her coffee and going to watch tv with dad.

I sighed wiping my eyes, trying to remember something from last night. Stuff Dan did like this frustrated me so badly! Was he pretending because he was around my parents because of our deal? Probably, but it felt so nice holding him in his dad's car. Was that fake too? What was the point if it was?

Screw Dan.

"Louise left you a message on the phone Phil!" Martyn called from upstairs.

It was then I remembered.

"Okay!" I called back, running up to my room and quickly shutting the door.

"Hello?" Louise answered. The phone only rang once.
