Chapter 1: Amaranthine Academy

"I'm not your pet that you can play with. You can't control me even if you're my father," I said coldly and turned my back, ready to walk out.

Before I could step away, I heard him say, "This is for your own advantage, anak. Please, obligate."

What did he think of me, his pet? Tsk. Never in my entire life did I think that someone could use me. Pet my ass.

Obligate? Siya na lang ang mag-obligate sa sarili niyang plano. Tsk. Gusto pa akong idamay.

"Anak, saan punta mo?" Mom asked when we encountered each other in the hallway.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Sa labas lang, Mom."

I descended the long staircase and opened the door. I stepped outside the large gate and started walking. I could only see trees and grass when I arrived outside. The wind embraced me as my hair swayed. There's no sunlight here because this place is covered by a canopy.

Ah, how I love this scenery.

I sat on a bench far away from our gate. After a few minutes, a van suddenly arrived.

I smirked.

The man got out of the van and looked directly into my eyes. I couldn't see his entire face because it was covered by a black mask. He has striking blue eyes that stand out against his dark hair. His thick brows give him a strong, expressive look, while his long eyelashes add a touch of softness and intrigue. With black hair framing his face, he has a distinctive and captivating appearance.  He slowly approached me while I remained seated.

Kung ki-kidnapin niya ako, sige lang. Total gwapo naman siya. Feel ko lang.

I stood when he finally reached me. He suddenly kicked at me, but I avoided it. Ha, akala niya sa akin hindi ko nababasa ang kaniyang galaw? Tsk, tsk. I wouldn't let him hurt my legs. No way.

So, ganito pala ang sabi ni Dad? Sige, payag na ako sa kaniya. It's adventure time!

I suddenly collapsed, which surprised him. I didn't want to fight with him right now, so I acted.

He carried me to his van while my eyes remained closed. I knew he was observing me. Sorry siya kasi kung bobo siya, mas bobo ako.

When we got inside, he immediately blindfolded me.

"You think you can fool me, kid?"

He's old?!

"I didn't say that though. Lumabas mismo sa sarili mong bibig na this kid can fool you, and let me remind you that I'm not a kid, idiot." I smirked as I heard him whisper something, which caused me to lose consciousness.

I woke up lying on dirty ground. I stood up quickly and brushed off my clothes before looking around. We were inside a cave. But, of all places, why a cave?

There were paths leading left and right with dark areas. Ano naman kaya ang pakulo nilang 'to? Many children were here, both boys and girls. There were a few familiar faces, but I didn't care about them.

I immediately noticed a girl staring at me. I raised my eyebrows at her and rolled my eyes. Alam ko naman na maganda ako pero dapat hindi niya ipinahalata. Nadagdagan tuloy self-esteem ko.

We all looked at the newly opened elevator. May elevator pala sa kweba? Just wow. Well, that's how money works.

Sasabihan ko rin sina Mommy at Daddy na papagawa ako ng elevator mismo sa ilalim ng lupa papunta sa mall para walang traffic.

"Elites."

All of us kept quiet as we listened to his words. "Before you can enter the academy, you need to go to the left side or the right side of this cave. You choose. You must follow the arrows that will lead you to the rooms, and suddenly a colored bracelet will appear on your wrist. You can only see what color it is. You will enter the door of the same color as your bracelet. The colors are invisible to others but only you and your companion can see them, even the colors of the doors. Let's see what will happen to you, Elites. Please, survive. See you on the ground. Good luck!" The elevator opened again, and the man stepped inside. He waved before the doors closed.
