Chapter 15: The Truth

"You're still a baby," Draven suddenly remarked, interrupting my meal. I glanced at the two of them as they smirked mischievously. Astro's grin vanished quickly when he realized, returning to his usual expression and silently continuing his meal. Draven, on the other hand, kept grinning, finding humor where there seemingly was none.

I'm not sure if they're bipolar, but they're definitely unusual.

What a bipolar immortal.

Well, none of us here are normal; we're all abnormal.

I chuckled. Kidding.

Just like Draven, Astro also displays sudden mood shifts. One moment he's smirking, the next he's serious again. They really suit each other.

Bagy pag-untugin.

I rolled my eyes at them, about to take a bite when I noticed Syren was missing. I hadn't realized earlier that Syren wasn't with us.

"Where's Syren?" I asked. Well, they always together kaya. Parang hindi nga naghihiwalay ang dalawang ito.

Edi sila na.

"She didn't say where she were headed exactly, but mentioned she'd be back by afternoon," Astro replied, placing a thumb under his chin in thought.

I nodded. "Okay, maybe she's out to explore."

It had been weeks since I last visited my favorite spot within the academy. I loved the scent of the flowers there and the peacefulness of the place.

I sat beneath a tree and leaned against its trunk, gazing up at the birds flying overhead. The calm weather matched my mood; it was soothing.

I hoped this tranquility would last forever.

I played with the grass, running my fingers through it as I admired the view. Roses, sunflowers, lilies, irises, each displaying their unique beauty under the sunlight. If they were human, every person would surely admire them.

Nakakahiya sa beauty ko.

Kidding. I'm more beautiful than them kaya.

"Right, babies?" I chuckled, receiving no response. Mapagkakamalan ako nitong baliw kapag may makakita sa aking kinakausap ang sarili.

Bumuntong-hininga ako.

"Ang lalim po no'n, ah?" a small voice suddenly remarked.

My hair stood on end, and the warm wind seemed to turn cold.

Agad akong tumayo sa kinauupuan. I glanced around to see if anyone was nearby, only to be horrified by the sight of a woman in a white dress, floating gently with her dress billowing in the wind.

Oh my gosh! There's an old hag smiling at me.

I stepped backward, pointing at her with trembling fingers.

"Who are you?!" I asked, horrified.

"I'm Elyze. I'm here with my friends po. We guard the garden, and we noticed you've been visiting here often for weeks. So, we decided if you returned today, we'd approach you," she said with a smile. Through mind link siguro?
