Chapter 17: Thief

"We gathered all of you because our lives are in danger." Umingay ang loob ng auditorium at nagkakagulo sila. "Calm down, Elites. Our world is in danger because it have curse."

Mas lalong naging maingay ang nasa loob ng auditorium. The three immortals beside me gasped. They were really shock.

I shook my head in disapproval.

"Do you all know who caused this curse?" Mr. Arius suddenly asked.

Natahimik ang lahat. 'Yong curse nga hindi nila alam, ang may kagagawan pa kaya nito?

Syempre, I tightly closed my mind baka mabasa pa ni prof. Edi patay ako niyan? Hindi ko gustong maparusah—

They all whispered to each other because of what they'd heard, while I was still processing the words.

"Ano?!" bulalas ni Syren.

"Hey, maybe this is just a lie! You don't have any proof to justify that this world has a curse," sigaw ng isang lalaki. Nasa bandang kanan siya kaya hindi ko kita kung sino ito dahil nasa bandang kaliwa kami. But his voice was familiar.

"Gago! Tumahimik ka riyan," saway ni Erika.

Ang lakas ng loob niyang isigaw iyon. Parang isinigaw niya rin na gusto na niyang mamatay.

Maraming sumang-ayon sa kaniya. But we couldn't do anything because if we didn't unite, we would die.

Professor Arius turned to Erika's side for the first time. "Well, we have proof. Do you want to see it?"

Grabe ang tapang mo, Drake, pero pagdating kay Erika bakit ang hina mo? Kidding.

Inilabas ni Arius ang kaniyang wand at ipinakita sa amin ang sinasabi niyang 'proof'.

A hologram popped up, and four immortals showed up. It was our ancestors.

"This is not good!" exclaimed the man with the bloody red eyes. Our former king, the king of the vampires.

"No! Hindi mo kasi naiintindihan, Theo! We will create a curse because we need it. This is our advantage! If we don't do this, we will die!" a woman suddenly appeared and explained to him. She glared at Theo, her gemstone green eyes glowing in annoyance.

"Really, Theo? This is easy. We will put a curse on our world and let someone uncover the truth behind it. If the right person unveils it, we will let them know the truth. This scene will pop up in the Amaranthine Academy when the time comes since the academy is ready enough to cure this curse. Someone can cure it. And we don't have enough time to fight this! Time is running out. Our death is approaching."
