Chapter 9: Room

"That's great! Let's proceed. Since most of you are vampires, please come to the front. All vampires." She looked at the four of us of vampire lineage and pointed towards the front. "Vampires, don't be shy."

Nag-umpisa na kaming maglakad para makapunta sa unahan. Nang makarating kami sa unahan ay agad na tumabi sa akin si Riella.

"Since you're a vampire, do you have an ability? Only special vampires have abilities according to my ancestors," she asked.

She looked at the four of us and waited until Riella, who was half-human and half-vampire, spoke up. "I have an ability, Prof."

"Really? That's great! Show us what your ability is," she exclaimed.

"I can't. I'm not able to control it yet," she said. Nagbaba siya ng tingin nang lahat ng mata ay nasa kaniya.

"What is your ability then?"

"Illusion, Miss."

Our professor nodded. I stared at her, studying her movements. Professor Reika is a figure of elegance and nobility, with an aura that commands respect. She exudes confidence with every step, her movements graceful and deliberate. Her attire is tailored and sophisticated, reflecting her status as a respected teacher.

Napatingin siya sa akin nang maramdaman ang aking titig. She smiled. A genuine smile. "Yes, Miss Amara?"

I was shocked that she smiled at me. Not just any smile, but a real one! It was captivating, enhancing her beauty. Parang gusto ko na lang maging lalaki. Nakabibighani ang kaniyang ngiti, ang ganda. Bagay sa kaniya. Kaso hindi ako puwedeng maging lalaki. Sa ganda kong ito, magiging lalaki lang?

"Nothing, Prof. You're beautiful, but I'm more beautiful," I said, suppressing a smirk. I looked away when Timothy, a half-vampire and half-mermaid, glanced at me.

"You seem quite full of yourself," he remarked. Well, that's my ability.

An ability that no one else has—the ability of beauty.

I pretended not to hear his comment. I straightened up when our professor spoke again. "For vampires, I need to train you on how to control your blood hunger." Drake and Qadresha positioned themselves to protect our professor in case any of us attacked her. My eyes turned bloody red. I glanced at the three other vampires. Their eyes were also red, fists clenched. They struggled to restrain themselves from attacking our professor. Kumuyom ang kamao ko nang biglang tumakbo si Erika papunta kay Miss Reika. Pulang-pula ang kaniyang mata habang naninigas at ang kaniyang mga pangil ay nakalabas na. Riella is just the same with Erika. Ang kaniyang pangil ay nakalabas na pero kinokontrol niya pa rin ang kaniyang sarili.

Erika was about to pounce on Reika when the latter stepped back. Tumawa ng walang emosyon si Miss Reika at kinumpas ang kaniyang wand. She floated into the air and pointed her wand at Erika. "Imperio la Ereika."

Biglang nanigas si Erika sa kaniyang kinatatayuan at pinupukol ng masamang tingin ang kaniyang target. She struggled to break free from the charm Reika had placed on her, but only our professor could undo it.

"Behave, Erika."

Erika complied with our professor's command. She stood near Miss Reika, though clearly against her will. Tumingin siya sa dalawang walang lahing bampira at nginitian. "You don't have to worry. I can handle myself."

The two nodded respectfully, bowing slightly to our professor. She inspected her wrist and returned our eyes to their normal color. Pagkatapos niyang masigurado na maayos na ang kalagayan namin ay may sinabi siyang salita na hindi namin naintindihan dahil sa hina ng boses nito at hindi pamilyar ang salita.
