Chapter 29: Hypnotized
I stood in a daze while wearing it, as the immortal from the cover continued to speak. When I regained my senses, I removed the mask and returned it to its origin.
I had no idea what had happened, but how could someone do such a thing? How could they create something like that? It was astonishing.
Mula noong una hindi ko pa ito nakitang tinanggal ng empress ang bagay na iyon kaya matagal na siyang may kinakausap? Kada salita niya, naririnig ng lalaking iyon.
The big question I wanted to know was: Who is he? Why was he asking about what was happening inside the academy, and why did he know about the leaders?
Maybe the Empress told him that information. But she didn't need to tell him because it's confidential information. What does this mean? Is he an enemy or not?
"Who are you?!" The shout suddenly woke me up.
Because I had my back to her, she couldn't see my face, so that's what she said. I forgot to remove the spell that could hide my scent and presence.
To avoid showing my nervousness, I suddenly grinned and slowly faced her. "So, it's you?" I asked.
"Me? What about me?" she asked, confused.
Gotcha, baby. I wanted to correct her. I wanted to puke.
"Yes, you. The one with the big secret." I made that up because it seemed like she was about to devour me alive. But it was half true because of her mask. Well, I didn't know if she really had a big secret because I couldn't list all the professors here at the academy.
Her face darkened immediately upon hearing "big secret." She glanced at the mask. When she looked back at me, she quickly ran to attack when she saw my grin.
She started to hurt me using her feet. I quickly dodged her kicks, but a sudden punch to my stomach made me double over. I hadn't attacked yet because I was only dodging, but my stomach immediately ached.
I knew she was strong, but I didn't expect her reflexes to be this good.
Thanks to my vampire speed. I was always grateful to be a vampire, even if just half.
She caught it right away because I knew it bled from the shoes I was wearing, which were pin heels. Any shoes make no sound when walking because my mother taught me how to use them silently.
I grinned because her nose was clearly bleeding. My stomach hurts, and her nose hurt. Well, that's fair.
"Who the hell is that man in your mask?" I asked while she was busy tending to her bleeding nose. She really stopped because of her nose. Well, in this world, faces are important.
I rejoiced.
"Who do you think?" she asked back.
Aba, ikalawang bersyon ni Kirsten.
"Baka gumaya ka kay Tyesha kapag ipinagpatuloy mo iyan."
She just grinned. "Uh-huh. If you can."
She attacked me using his wand. I knew she was reciting a spell in her mind, so I was here, dodging the flying poisonous flowers. I didn't know this spell, but I knew these flowers were poisonous! If they hit me, I would be paralyzed forever because they always targeted the nervous system.
