Chapter 21: Arrival
Each tribe surrendered their necklaces to the empress. I still remember how they argued with themselves about whether to really give these things to the empress or not. But to our surprise, they did give them.
After that damn talk, they started cleaning up our mess. Ibig sabihin, they cleaned up all the mess, including the dead immortals. They spent several days cleaning up the entire academy to restore it to its former state. But they couldn't bring back the lives that we took, lives we deprived them of. They took a risk by fighting themselves, even though the cause of it was their own lives.
They placed protection on the place where the necklaces were placed. And also the necklaces themselves. I don't know if it's true, but this time, I will believe it. They're stupid if they let those things be stolen.
I smirked when I saw the replica of my necklace together with the tribe necklaces. It's easy to get but difficult to make.
Ano iyan display?
I know how important the necklaces are. I don't trust the empress. I don't trust Draven. I don't trust anyone.
Why does she always wear a mask? I mean, yes, she can.
Tsk.
Baka bad breath?
I chuckled.
"Hey. What are you doing here?"
My smirk faded. I furrowed my eyebrows, telling him to back off. But well, what can you expect from Draven? He just grinned at me.
I glared at him. "What do you need from me?" I growled.
Bigla ay tumataas ang kaniyang kilay. "Well? Ikaw mismo."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I left him and started to walk away.
I'm still thinking why these buildings cannot just be ruined by a mere power. It is because it has the power of the ancestors?
Power.
Wait...
Why don't they just rebuild these buildings by power? The god or goddess of creation and destruction? O baka hindi pa ito ipinanganak? O baka naman sa ibang lugar ito?
Well, aside from the god of creation and destruction that I knew.
I sighed. Whatever.
