Chapter 4: Dragon Lady
Rules and regulations—must be important, as the receptionist said. Maybe what happened earlier is related to them.
I still can't believe that arrogant vampire just disappeared. What an idiot.
"What happened?"
Napatingin ako kay Syren nang itanong niya 'yan. "What? Hindi mo kanina naabutan 'yong gulo?" Disbelief filled my face.
"I thought you were chismosa?" I asked. When her face soured, I laughed.
"Just kidding."
"Akala mo nakatatawa? Tsh." She rolled her eyes and glared at me.
Kasalanan ko pang outdated ka? I was about to say when the two other idiots emerged from their rooms.
They sat on the other two single sofas, looking at me like I’d killed someone.
"What really happened, Amara?"
I took a deep breath and looked at them, emotionless. "The vampire and the werewolf fought. The vampire bit the werewolf until it was drained, and then the werewolf turned to ashes. Seconds later, the vampire also disappeared."
Natahimik kaming apat at sabay-sabay na bumuntong hininga. Tumayo ako kaya napatingin silang tatlo sa akin. Walang akong paalam na pumasok sa sariling kuwarto at kinuha ang kailangan ko. Dala-dala ito habang naglalakad papalabas.
When I returned, I put the bag on the center table and sat. "We need to discuss the rules and regulations. I think they’re connected to what happened earlier."
I opened my bag and took out an envelope designed with a red rose and a bloodstain. I slowly unsealed it.
Good day, Elites! Remember to explore and enjoy, but don't forget to follow the rules and regulations inside this Academy:
1. Elites must attend their classes. If you don't, you will be punished.
2. Kill your companions, and you will die.
3. You can kill whoever you want, just don't get caught, or you will die.
4. Enjoy killing and exploring. Don't die.
5. Follow all the rules.Napasinghap ako nang mabasa ito. Agad silang lumapit sa akin nang makita ang reaksyon ko. Syren covered her mouth, eyes wide. Draven looked emotionless as he finished reading.
Astro sighed and shook his head. "That explains everything. The vampire killed the werewolf with an audience. Great."
So, my assumptions were correct. Ah, feeling ko ang talino ko na. Omg! I'm so proud of myself.
Die. That word keeps coming up, huh?
My only question is, how did they approve this if we’re all princes and princesses? Don’t they mind if most of us die soon?
Then realization hit me. Maybe they approved this on purpose. Maybe they want to control the earth themselves when we die. How selfish.
"What punishment will we get if we don't attend classes?" Draven suddenly asked.
My eyebrows furrowed. "Bakit? Planning on skipping?"
"I'm just asking e," malungkot na saad niya.
Hindi bagay sa kaniya.
I looked away when he smiled. "What?" I glared at him.
"Guys, stop it." Astro’s calm voice made us shut up. The power of a god. Tsk. Wala pa rin akong paki.
"Hmm, don't kill your companions. Uh-huh, sounds nice. But if I kill one of you, that’s a disadvantage."
"Yes. It’s a stupid idea to kill your comrades," I agreed.
