Rev got everything packed up and ready to go, then turned to the beautiful little light of his life. She looked pale and contemplative. He knew she was worried but he also believed she could handle any situation which may arise.
He reached for her and she grabbed his face with both hands. She looked up at him with those large emerald eyes and said, "I will be fine and I'll be here waiting for you when you get back. I love you. Come back to me".
He nodded and she kissed him fiercely, surprising him. He almost started walking back toward the bed, but then she pulled away.
He smiled and chuckled softly, running his hand over her perfect ass. "I gotta get my head in the game, love. Can't do that if your naked body is all I can think of".
"Sorry", she said, turning pink.
He chuckled again. He enjoyed her transparency. He didn't often need to guess with her. He could read her well.
He cupped her chin in his hand and looked deep into her eyes. "I will be back before you know it", he said. "We're one step closer to Jay. Do everything I said and stay safe for me, yeah?"
She nodded, tears springing into those beautiful eyes of hers. He kissed her once more, gently, then picked up his things and left.
He had driven an hour and a half before he was able to wrench his mind from her and onto the mission before him.
Rev picked up the cab and drove it to meet Clint and his team in a nearby lot. Rev inspected all the surveillance equipment, they tested it, and then Rev adjusted a couple things and added his own as backup. He wasn't taking any chances. He tucked an automatic behind his seat and strapped several other guns and knives on various places of his body.
Clint introduced him to the team, Rev gave them all the information he had, and they ran through several scenarios. The team to arrest Red took off. Shortly after, Rev was off himself.

Thursday evening I practiced with the guys. They wanted to hear all about my experience in L.A. Jake was oozing with jealousy.
"Where's Rev tonight?", Tommy asked with a smile. "Or is is Brad now?"
"Oh my gosh, don't even joke about that", I said, tearing up. "Brad called me crying when I was out there. I feel awful, and I've realized my mistakes, but I'm not convinced we can resolve our differences. We had the same argument over the phone again that we've been having our entire relationship".
"I'm sorry", he said, giving me a little hug. "Seriously, then, where's Rev? We like watching him while we practice".
Jake and I laughed.
"He's working", I said.
"Where's he work?", Sam asked. I looked over at him. I hadn't even been aware he was listening as he was changing a string on his bass guitar.
"He works for himself as a private investigator but he coordinates with other people, too. I can't say much about it", I admitted.
Jake squealed. "Espionage?!? Girl, are you kidding me?!??? This is like a movie! Your life is sooooo exciting!"
I sighed. "Honey, you have no idea", I said. "I'll tell you my whole background some night".
"He's on some mission right now?", Clay asked, looking intrigued.
"Yeah". I felt my stomach flip.
"Oh, she's worried", Tommy said quickly. "Let's change the subject. Paige, are there any songs you're good at already that we can add? We've got more versatility with your voice".
