I woke up with my head on Rev's chest. Few things made me happier than laying on him and being held by him.
And I felt the exact same way about Brad. What was I going to do?
I felt a tear leak out and trickle down to his bare chest.
"Morning, love", he said quietly.
Shoot.
I tipped my face up and kissed him underneath his chin.
"We'll get you sorted all right, yeah?", he said.
He didn't even know what I was crying about yet he was trying to reassure me.
I sat up on my elbow and searched his stern face.
"I'll update you as I'm able today but I can't give you a timeframe. You might need to stay overnight there. If Brad starts acting like a wanker, you call your brother or Bre, and I want you out of there, yes?"
I nodded, though I knew I wouldn't endanger either of the people he just mentioned with my presence. I would have to stick it out with Brad no matter what. I would try my best not to push him to the point where he was so angry he ended up acting irrational. I would try not to fight with him at all. I was a little nervous about spending the day with him and not arguing.
After Rev and I got up, Clint called to let him know they were about thirty minutes out.
"I've been debating on what to have you drive", Rev said. "I think I want you to leave the Jeep here. I'll drop you at Brad's and I want him to drive you on the motorcycle today".
I shrugged. "Okay". I didn't understand his thought process but it didn't matter much. I trusted Rev's judgment.
Rev put both hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes.
"You wanna tell me what's goin' on in your head?"
I teared up a little. "I'm worried about something happening to you today and I'm worried about fighting with Brad all day. I will try not to because I don't want to put my brother or Bre in danger with my presence. I am not worried about myself".
A smile played around the edges of his mouth.
"I will come back for you, love. Do your best with Brad because I don't want you alone today, but I don't want you tolerating his bullshit, either, yeah?"
I nodded and he kissed me on the forehead.

Rev circled the block once before stopping out front of Brad's. He walked up to the house with me and looked around as I opened the front door. Brad was coming out of the kitchen wearing only jeans as we walked in. I felt my heart flutter as his beautiful icy blue eyes met mine.
Rev put his hand on my shoulder and I watched Brad's eyes narrow.
"I'll call or text you updates", Rev said to Brad. "You tell her everything. I'll know if you didn't".
Brad calmly turned his eyes to Rev but didn't respond.
"My team is almost here. Jay hasn't left yet. I'm not sure when this is going to be over so I'm assuming she's here all day. You aren't confined to the house but be careful if you leave. I want you using your motorcycle if you go anywhere. More options for a quick getaway, yeah?"
Brad nodded.
"You treat her with the respect she deserves", Rev finished, in a low voice. "If she has to leave because you're being a wanker, and something happens to her because of it, you won't live long enough to regret it".
