Lorenzo

I gestured for him to have a seat as I tried my best to remain calm and act as clueless as possible. Discreetly, my left hand immediately pressed a button under my desk to lock the door and alert my men while my right reached for the gun in my drawer.

I studied him for a while, and just like Lauren had mentioned, he does look barely twenty. Yet, I can see that he's no fool. He looks smart, like Capri. In fact, now that I have him in front of me, I can see many more similar features that they both share. The same hair, same eyes, and even the way he smiles reminds me of Capri. Fuck, they're definitely related.

As he sat in front of me, I couldn't help but notice how comfortable he looked in his designer three piece suit. That's probably the first thing I see that's different from Capri. Capri's so opposed to dressing up, so attached to her white T's and blue jeans. Compared to her, he definitely looked like he had a permanent live-in stylist who chose his clothes and styled his look every morning. Whereas Capri has more of an I just got out of bed and this is what I'm wearing, so deal with it kind of outlook.

After almost ten minutes had passed, it occurred to me that both of us have yet to say a word. In fact, we're both analyzing each other, measuring up the competition.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Lermontov?" I decided to end our little staring contest.

He looks at me like he is still undecided on what his first move should be.

"I don't want to waste your time, so let me just get to the point." He then raised his hand like he was surrendering, before pointing to his jacket, telling me that he was going to reach for something inside. I nod and he produces a small envelope which he places on my desk.

I open it and see numerous photos of me and Capri, the day we were at the beach.

"Who is she to you?" he asked.

"Why are you asking? Is she one of your girls?" Briefly, I saw him looking offended. But that look immediately left as quickly as it had appeared.

"Do you know where she is?" he asked again. I can see a slight twitch in his eye.

I try to remain cool and not give anything away. His question puzzled me. Didn't he have Capri? Were all our assumptions wrong?

"Haven't seen her. For weeks now." I shrugged, feigning ignorance.

He looks at me, trying to detect the lies. Then he sighs. "Well, I should go then. Thanks for all your help."

"Leaving so soon? Why are you looking for her?" I ask as he starts to get up.

"That is none of your concern. Good day, Mr. Moretti." He reached the door but then realized that it was locked.

As he turned towards me, I brought out my gun, cocked it, and aimed it at his head.
