I flipped and turned, unable to sleep without Kenji. It had been hours since he left and I still couldn't close my eyes for five minutes. I sat up, sighing and petting Loki and Violet. They usually slept in their own bed, but I needed them for support. I didn't really want to be alone. The door swung open out of nowhere. It was Yua. She had her suitcase and another bag in her hand.

"Ms.Alex, I must go." She sounded panicked. "A family emergency has come up and I must go."

It was dark, yet I could still see the tears in her eyes.

"Please." She cried. "I need to go. I have a replacement coming in a few hours."

I stood up, nodding my head. "Hey, hey it's alright. Go do what you have to do."

"Thank you so much." she scurried away.

I sighed, laying back down. I finally relaxed and found my way to dreamland.

There was a shuffle around the room. A man's voice broke the silence. I opened my eyes, quickly sitting up and grabbing the blade under the nightstand, charging at him and holding him on the floor.

"Who the fuck are you?" I asked, the blade to his throat.

He was asian. Short hair and a broad muscular body. I observed him a bit more.

"Oh shit." I whispered.

"I-I'm Yua's replacement." He sounded a bit panicked.

His English was pretty good.

I nodded, getting up and helping him up. "I'm sorry. I forgot about all of that."

I put the blade on the nightstand.

"I recommend that you don't do that again. You're still healing and you can pull something." He brushed off his scrubs.

I shrugged. "Yeah, well I recommend you don't sneak up on me again."

"I didn't sneak up on you." He said. "Anyways, how are you feeling?"

"Fine."

"Any pain? Headaches? Stomach aches? Do you feel sore anywhere?"

"No. I'm fine. I feel fine."

He wrote it down in his notebook. "That's expected."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.

"Are you hungry?" He asked. "Anything in particular that you want?"

I shook my head. "I'll get up and get something later."

I looked at Loki and Violet who were no longer in the room.

"Where'd my cats go?" I asked.

"I put them in your cat play room. I refilled their bowls and cleaned out their litter." He responded.

"Better than Yua." I mumbled.

A stank look washed over his face, only to go back to normal.
